Should we switch resorts?

We already have ressies for 7 nights in October for BCV. Today is the day we can try and switch to another DVC resort. Should we try somewhere else or stay at BCV? I'm really torn I would love to try somewhere new but DH and DS(5) love BCV. As usual DH is no help! I ask him what he thinks and I get the "Whatever you want" blow-off response.

I would like to try BWV but only if we could get a Boardwalk view. Is that going to be possible since F&W will be going on? We had to borrow points from 2006 for this trip so I'm trying to look for somewhere that we cost us the same points we already are using.

Call MS and see if a Boardwalk view is available. If it is, then go ahead and switch. It if isn't, either go on a waitlist for one or stay at the BCV.

I agree with HBC; if its available then it may peak your interest even more but if its not then at least there was not too much for you to be worried about...

Does switching resorts during your stay seem like a pain to you? If not, I have a suggestion. Here's what I do with every "new" resort I want to sample-I go first for one night, then switch over to the resort I know and love. Then, if I really liked it, I plan to stay there for an entire trip another time. I never commit to a "new" resort for more than one night. That way, if I don't like the resort, I'm not stuck there for long. The result of doing that has been: 2002-1 night at OKW, several trips back; 2003-1 night at BWV, back in 2005 for entire trip, except first night when I tried SSR.

I'm with Simba's mom - Change for a couple of nights, either at the beginning or the end of your stay.

We stayed at BWV and VWL last time and enjoyed the different atmosphere at each location.

We're staying at BWV for the entire time when we go down in April (less pts), but will probably split time b/w BCV and VWL in Dec.
