So far our experiences with 'Ohana at dinner have been pretty bad.

The first time, they literally took our food off the table and had us in/out of the place in half an hour.
But that was still better than our 2nd time, when they didn't even let us in.

It was partly our fault. We made it to the Poly a little after our ADR time, and went to wait in line. Several guests were making reservations and we waited a LONG time. So long that by the time someone finally took care of us, it was 40mns past our ADR time and we were told that we'd have to wait 2 hours for a table. We didn't stay, I left VERY VERY mad, and swore I was DONE with 'Ohana.

Now we'll be staying 6 night at the Poly and I'm thinking maybe we should try again since we'll be there but I'm worried it'll be another disappointment.

Hmmm....I think Ohana is just bad food but I know lots of people like it. We went last year & found very little exciting about it at all. Kids seem to like it because of the games but the food was nothing to write home about.

Now, Kona...that's good!! I say skip Ohana & go to Kona instead!!

YES! We ate there in late March early April and the food was outstanding and the service was awesome....we were not rushed at all, in fact they encouraged us to take our time. THere are a ton of pics and full review in my signature

We've done 'Ohana twice now. Once for dinner, and once for breakfast. I won't return for dinner, but I would do breakfast again. We had breakfast on our last day last Sept. and it was wonderful. The food was good, the characters were great. We had a late ADR 11 a.m. and were one of the last groups to leave. The characters all came around 2-3-4 times. Inc. Mickey.

On our dinner, we were seated at the back of the room (near the entrance) at a table for 8-we were only 3. Noone else was seated with us. The starters were all very good, but the meats were tough. Almost inedible. So we ordered more starters. Oh, and since our table was so far removed from the action, when they announced games, by the time DD got there, the parade was already half over, or there weren't anythings left for her to use. DD was just 6 then and very disappointed. :sad2:

We had the dinner in 2005, and I know there have been a few changes, but we'll stick with Kona. We usually eat there twice during our trips, and we aren't even staying at Poly!

Our experiences with 'Ohana have been very different from yours. We have eaten there twice and were never rushed. Both times the service was friendly and the food was fabulous. The Banana Bread Pudding is our favourite dessert at WDW. In fact, my kids and I beg my wife to make it at home (she does a pretty good job).

That said, maybe you should skip it. You have had two bad experiences and I don't think it will take much to disappoint you again.
