We will be staying at ASMu the last few days of our trip in Nov and will have our own car.

Should we drive to the parks ourselves or take the bus? We have AP's so no paying to park. We MAY be taking our own stroller so I think our car would be easier than loading it onto a bus.

You'll hear many opinions on this...

For the Magic Kingdom, don't forget that you'll have to park at the Transportation & Ticket Center, and then take the tram in, and then the Monorail or Ferry Boat to the Magic Kingdom. The bus will take you directly in.

You will need to fold the strollers for the parking tram at all four parks.

Buses run every 15 minutes to all destinations (more often during peak times).

When you take everything into consideration, driving versus taking the bus works out to be close to the same amount of time.

If you drive, you get the peacefulness of your own car, but, you also do have to deal with traffic. Also, be aware that many road signs have been destroyed, and it may be a few months before they can all be restored.

Take your car for convenience alone...much better than waiting for a bus...but that's just me. I like to be in control

On our last trip (Easter) DH and I ran an experiment. We drove to MK.
On the way home, kids and I took bus back to POR, he drove.

We beat him by almost 30 minutes, by the time he had to wait for ferry to fill and go across lagoon, then wait for tram to car, then drive out of parking lot and over to hotel.

I honestly think that driving to the other parks is faster, but to MK the bus can't be beat (of course he still drives to MK, it's a control thing for him)!

I emphatically agree with Tyler! It is more hassle taking the parking lot trams than just hopping the quite frequent buses from your Disney resort. Whether you board a bus at ASMu or board a tram in the parking lot, you are still gonna need to fold up that stroller, so why not just take the great bus service you have already paid for, and save the aggravation of driving and parking and then finally catching the tram to the park entrance.

We have always found the bus to be a big time-saver. Plus, we don't have to remember where we parked. And if we go to EPCOT in the morning, then take the lovely boat ride over to MGM in the afternoon (or the monorail to MK), we can just hop the bus back to our resort at the end of the day, rather than having to get back to wherever you parked.

You might save the car for dining at the other resorts or (heaven forbid!) offsite. That actually might make sense.

Have a great time!
