Should we do it?

I've got the itch to go to Disneyland! I have some friends that are going but they are going Mar 11-13 and everything is booked that weekend so I'm assuming it is going to be busy! But I still really want to go so we are thinking about a mid-week trip.

What do you think the crowds will be like on Mar 1,2, and 3? It's a Tues, Wed, Thursday. I can get the Desert Inn & Suites for only $89 for a parlor suite. I know we'll miss out on fireworks, but we've seen them on all of our other visits and I know the park hours are shorter, but if it isn't very crowded during the day that will make up for it.

Plus my boys just turned 5 so I need a new picture of them in Goofy's chair! LOL

So should we go for it??

I'm hoping it's slow as we are going March 2, 3, and 4th! The hours are only 10-8 during the week so even Disney thinks it will be slow.

March 11-13 sounds like spring break dates:scared1:so I would go the beginning of March. Going on the weekdays you will miss the fireworks and fantasmic but the crowds should be much lighter. Cute pictures too.

Disney usually considers their spring break season to 'officially' start around mid March, and the weekend of the 11th is probably their first week. However, just because the hotels are booked does not necessarily mean the park will be busy. Since the conference center is so close to the resort as well, many people use the resort hotels for stays that don't include visits to the parks. Since you have been to the parks before and you have seen all the shows, I would go the first week of March, especially since hotel prices will likely be less expensive.

You have to go to get that picture! Too Cute:hug:. Beating the crowds would be great. We are going the week of the 12th.

crowds last yr those days it was dead we rode tons of rides and the yr before last was the same way

Thanks guys! We made reservations at the Desert Inn and we are going for it!! I'm hoping to keep it a surprise from my boys- we'll see! Last Feb we went for their birthday and it was a surprise then, too, with them getting a package from Mickey letting them know that it was their turn to go to Disneyland. It didn't go as I imagined, though, since one of the twins couldn't stop obsessing over opening a stinking YO-YO that someone had given him long enough to realize what I was saying LOL
