Our plan right now is as follows. Should we drop AK and do a 2nd day at HS? We have a 2.5 year old.

Day 1-MK
Day 2-AK or HS
Day 3-MK
Day 4-MNSSHP
Day 5- Epcot
Day 6-HS
Day 7-MK

The main draw to do HS twice is we want to do the shows there and we want to do SW fireworks and Fantasmic which isn't possible with the times they are scheduled for our day there

Since AK is my favorite park after MK, I'd not skip it. I take it you don't have park hoppers?

Unfortunately we don't this trip. We will be booking a bb for next year that we will have PArk hoppers for, and thought we could save AK for then since ROL won't be going when we are there

why not do HS on day 2 and AK on day 6? I can't imagine skipping AK!

It wouldn't really help the situation. On both days of our trip Fantasmic and the fireworks are so close together we can't do both. I think we will skip the fireworks and hope they are there next year

I always had a tough time filling a DHS day, back in its "prime" when DS was 2.5, and I thought F! was a bit too intense.(I know all kids handle it differently)

Triceratops Spin, Flights of Wonder, train to Rafiki, trails.

Same question applies to DHS, too.
Okay thank you! At DHs we plan to do Beautdy and the beast, voyage of the LM, Frozen Sing a long, Muppets, Toy story Mania and some character M&Gs.

Those are all good shows at DHS (Disney Jr is also good if you watch Disney Jr TV)

I should mention as a regular, I didn't hit every show every trip, so I realize you will have a different experience.

Unfortunately, I think the playground in DHS closed
(There is the Dino dig playground at AK) that could help burn off energy between shows.

On our recent trip while at DHS, our 3.5 year old kept asking "I want to go on more rides". But we did all the rides in the first hour. She enjoyed many of the shows, but she got antsy with so many shows. So we cancelled our 2nd DHS day. We actually spent 2 days at AK and the 3.5 year old had a great time. A few more rides, and many places to explore, certainly enough to fill a day. We did 4-MK, 2.5-Epcot, 2-AK, 1-DHS over 12.5 days.

We did miss the Star Wars fireworks, but we saw them from our balcony at both Pop and AKL.

I know you said you don't have hoppers, but I'd consider adding them. That way you could do the attractions you want at each park, then move to another. Plus, you'd be able to see both night shows at HS.

I know there are a lot of people against hoppers, but your situation is exatly why we get them. We like the flexibility to do a couple things in each park on any given day without having to spend a full day in said park and not able to go back.

for sure go to animal kingdom. Not only because half of DHS is closed but also because there is a good number of things to see at AK. Just bring a comfy stroller (not the disney rental strollers)

I would not skip AK with a 2.5 year old. With MNSSHP, you essentially have 4 days at MK. I would consider dropping one and adding AK OR just add another day to your ticket and go to AK on the morning of your MNSSHP day. I would also reconsider doing Fantasmic with a 2.5 year old. We took my DS when he was 3.5 and he was terrified of it. Personally, I would work AK in, ditch Fantasmic and try to get the DHS fireworks in.

A couple of more observations after reading the responses.

1) Add the Boneyard to the things that a 2.5 year old would love about AK

2) HS is not 'half closed'. There is plenty to do. But, I would not do any park twice if it meant totally skipping another.

The price difference between 6 day ticket and 7 day ticket is so small. Add a day to your ticket. Do Ak on MNSSHP day.

I think 4 MK days is alot so I would drop a MK day for AK. If we were going with our 2 1/2 year old, we would skip Epcot over AK. Our little one really liked AK at that age.

I don't really want to drop MK days because we are only doing 1/2 days. Our 1st day is just 6 to close and last day is Rope drop til 12 due to flights. Maybe we can skip Fantasmic and give out Fantasmic Seats to another family? We have a Fantasmic dinner at H&V

That would work. We all love Fantastmic but it was a bit intense for the 2 1/2 year old. He did not like loud things like thunder and fireworks at that age to give you something to go by.

But, if you wanted to try it, could you give up your first MK day and just make one of the other days a little longer?
