Yep, I would have to agree. And a waste of my time. Life is too precious to sit in front of a computer and waste it away writing down codes for virtual items....especially since most of them are only worth 5 or 10 credits.

so... playing pirates for 4 straight hours to make, maybe 5k credits isnt the same thing?

and I never said I was writing them down.

Ah Beezler, I thought that was you I saw on Main Street with the tin cup!! LOL Seriously though, I am for the most part fine with the way they give out credits with the exception of Jungle Cruise.. I hardly ever actually play that game. Takes 15 minutes to get 20 credits, so I just go nedding, basically start the game do something else, come back in about 5 minutes and voila 20 easy credits!! It would be nice though if the NPC gave out say 40 credits each. Come to think of it I really don't like the way the credits work in Fireworks either, for instance I came in first place last week and I get 10% of my score in credits, arg!! As for codes well that is time consuming and BORING!! Perhaps we need a VMK savings and loan???

Nope, it isn't the same at all! Pirates is a game! And personally, I have fun playing it (escpecially compared to fireworks or ghosts). Also, besides the credits you win, you can play with friends (fun!), there are the random "bonus" credits that get awarded and there's also the prizes from the treasure chests... I'd bet that most ppl would prefer to play games for credits rather than entering codes. Unless, of course, you have a scripting program that does all the work for you... but didn't someone just get a 10 year ban for supposedly using one? :scared1:

supposedly someone did, but I do not use a scripting program either.
And I have not heard of anyone getting a ban for a supposed scripting program. They do not ban for anything people actually do, only for what they THINK people might do.

I personally cannot stand any of the games, people are rude and obnoxious in pirates and mansion and you cannot turn off the chat, nor report them. And fireworks is a joke.

My way, I can spend some time at work getting codes and putting them into a document and then when I get home, I can enter them at my leisure at my own pace without being tied to a game with no pause button for 10-15 minutes at a clip. I do not have to wait for others to join my game, wasting even more of my time and then I can buy what I want, without fail.

So far, I have bought 80 of the shield table. I probably wont buy any more, but I still have a few hundred thousand credits for whatever I want... and by the time October rolls around I should have close to 1 million credits to buy as much as I want to buy of the re-released halloween stuff.

granted, I have an advantage because I type 100 wds/minute, but unless you are a 1 wd/min person, it still generates credits faster.

Top players in Mansion, even on double credit days, can barely hope to match the 600 per game the top fireworks players get. Double credit in mansion does nothing more than even it out. Fireworks should NEVER get double credits because then the fireworks players would be leaps and bounds above every other game.

When I take the time to play Mansion on double credits days, I can easily garner 900 credits a game. There are those who get even more, so please don't assume that 600 credits is a 'top game' in Mansion.

For the record, I have ALWAYS stunk at fireworks, so when players "wax for the 1300 days" they are really saying, let the rich get richer again. Only a select percentage of players could ever hope to achieve 1300 credits per game. the rest of us who stunk would get either nothing, or only a couple hundred per game. Many may not remember when Pirates only gave out 75 credits for level 3 and before mansion. The only way to get credits was to Ned.

Since this is in response to my post, I'm going to respond. Well, I don't know what "waxing" for something is, but I'm not saying that I want the rich to get richer. What I'm saying is that it would be nice to get much better credits so that everyone can play less mini games and enjoy the actual game of VMK more. Personally, I know many players who are tired of the feeling that they need more and more credits. VMK keeps releasing items en masse, or releasing items that are very expensive (Alice Ride, Shield Table). Either the average person doesn't buy any or they spend all their time in mini games/entering codes so they can afford the new items. Sure, the mini games are fun, but there are only a few of them and who really wants to play them all the time? And who really wants to spend their off-time playing outside-VMK games to earn codes and then spend the time in-game entering them...then spend more time selling each item - a procedure that used to be a lot easier and less time consuming than it is currently.

Yes, you may be okay with playing mini games all day, or you may be okay with entering codes day in and day out, but is that what you really want to do with your time? If credits were doubled for all games, then there would be 1)equity for all, not just players of one particular game, and 2)no need to play them constantly just to be able to afford all of the items VMK releases. And I wouldn't be offended if they raised the "Sell" price of all of the items in VMK as well - it would be nice to get at least 25-50% back from your original purchase, or get a reasonable amount of credits from selling all of those items that you spend so much time garnering through codes.

I don't spend 4 straight hours in front of the computer for anything, other than my Mon - Fri career. I mean nothing ugly by saying this; I have a life outside of the PC and I will not dedicate my limited hours to a virtual game. I enjoy seeing some people in the game, but spending 4 hours entering codes, playing games or even surfing this wonderful board is not how I spend my days. ;) Even when I am logged onto VMK for 2 - 3 hours at a time, I am not always playing - but instead just, well, "there".

Maybe that is why I would like games to provide more credits than they do! :)

Yeah, I think you are on to something. But, I do wish Yavn would get off his keister ;) and do something about the pathetic credits vs scoring in Jungle Cruise. That game is a waste of time. You spend 15 minutes playing it for 20 little credits....no thank you!!! Now credit me on my skills, how much gas I have left, how many pictures I took, how many "flawless" pictures I took, etc and I will play the game like anything else.

Yes! Thank you! It's really dumb that the only people who actually make good credits in that game are the ones who can get on the high scores list. I make 60,000 points and all I get is 20 credits? Yeah, I don't think so! Why don't they make it so that you get 1/100 of your score? 600 credits for a 60,000 game. I have no complaints about the credits given out in other games (although a double credit fireworks day would sure be nice) but the Jungle Cruise game is not worth playing for me.

I agree completely! I just play jungle cruise when I'm afk now, because that way I'm be productive whle I'm not doing anything. I want more credits for my score when I really play it! not just a lousy 20 credits.
