I would think that the pope, as leader of the Catholic Church would have the responsibility to speak about faith and reason. Too little has been said for too long. This so reminds me of the mindset about rape. How often is the victim blamed and the justification given that the rapist just couldn't help himself. He was provoked.
Silly confused Pope, to suggest that using violence in the name of religion is wrong. He is the leader of a major religion in the world. If he doesn't speak out about it, who should or will?
