Should the Mall have kicked her out?

I'm not talking about underwear or swimwear b/c you wouldn't go off wearing a nighty or bikini to the mall or to the grocery store or to your kids soccer game. I'm talking about the standard outerwear they sell -- pants, shorts, shirts, skirts. In this case, we're talking about the girl's shorts, not her wearing only a bra or a bikini or a VS nightie. We're talking about the outerwear that people wear to the mall. If she got kicked out of the mall for wearing her bikini or her lingerie, then I could see a point!
Starting to feel like I'm the only one who sees that "tank top" as an undergarment.

Is that, or is it not, lingerie paired with short-shorts?

Looks like lingerie to me too. I never could get into the tops that look like lingerie look. I was always afraid someone would think I was wearing actual lingerie......

I'm much more uncomfertable when I see womens shirts being to revealing up top(I'm not sure what words i'm allowed to say, so I hope that made sense). I've seen worse than her outfit. Would I wear that? no, but if the dress code isn't posted how can they kick her out? I've actually been to the mall there talking about, and they don't exactly dress like angels there.

NOO WAY!! They should of not kicked that girl out. Her outfit is fine and is way better then those show-your-butt mini skirts. The outfirt was not offensive at all! OOOOH that makes me mad!! :furious:

That is absolutely ridiculous. She looked fine! If they're going to kick a girl out of the mall for wearing shorts then they should also kick out overweight females who seem to think they look good in halter tops and mini skirts. Or people with B.O. And definitely people who wear shirts with stupid sayings on them!

Come on. You can't single somebody out like that. The woman who complained should do something about that staring problem of hers. Obviously she was medically unable to tear her eyes away from the girls butt and should seek help immediately.

This is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I've heard in a while

It's NOT lingerie paired with short-shorts. It doesn't even look like lingerie. It looks like a top you can get at any run of the mill Old Navy.

It's hard finding skirts & shorts that are stylish, fit nicely but are modest enough for her to feel comfortable in. agnes!
I completely agree w/you, Agnes! I wear a size 2 or 4, so I generally end up having to shop in the Jr. department. I have a v. difficult time finding shorts that aren't too short! I'm almost 41 yo and do not feel comfortable wearing the short-shorts that are plentiful in most stores! And, if I find a nice pair of shorts that fit well and I'm comfortable in, they're usually at a boutique type shop and (at least the last few pairs I tried on) were around $60 (one at a boutique type store and the other at Lord & Taylor petite section)!!!! I don't want to spend a lot of money on shorts, so that doesn't leave me w/a lot of choices! And, I do not want elastic waistband shorts, which most stores offer in their petite section!!!!

It's not an Old Navy shirt - it's from Express just like the shorts. I bought the same one about a month ago. And I DON'T do the lingerie look - there's a bit of lace at the top but it's a cotton shirt. It's a really comfy shirt. :)

I don't see anything wrong with her outfit. I saw shorts at Target recently that were aimed at pooh sized (my size) people that were much much shorter!!!
