Should resale owners pay lower dues?

I think that for everything related to blue card perks there should be a separate phone number staffe with people paid entierly by DVC. It would be fairer and also not affected members who need assistance with anything related to membership and reservations when there is a new promotion or special event.

Member Fees do not pay for any perks. They pay for the operation of the resort, and include:
  1. Administration & Front Desk
  2. Annual Audit
  3. DVC Reservation Component (central reservations
  4. Fees to the Division (Florida timeshare tax)
  5. Housekeeping
  6. Income Tax
  7. Insurance
  8. Legal
  9. Maintenance
  10. Management Fees
  11. Member Activities (on resort property)
  12. Security
  13. Transportation
  14. Utilities
Here are the annual budgets for each resort for this year, showing total revenue and total expenditures. No perks included:

No absolutely not they have the same rooms as direct owners and that’s what we have contracted not incidental perks

As I understand it, they aren't. The moonlight madness parties are paid entirely by direct sales, as are any perks the blue card holders get..
I'm not aware of any perks that blue card holders get (which are very few now) that are paid by all the DVC owners. I may be wrong
Yes, but booking the extras through MS are partially paid by whites. The cost of MS would be lower if the blues were not booking the extras through them.

The point is the whites are paying MS to book the blue extras.

Dues. Dues pay for MS, correct? So should whites pay for extra MS CM’s to take the time to book the extras for blues?
If you bothered to read the link, you would see precisely what dues pay for. Nowhere in the annual budget proposals will you see any cost component other than central reservations that cover anything other than costs associated exclusively with each resort.

And dues aren’t a cost component, they are a revenue component.

Are you saying dues don’t pay for member services?

I’m telling you to read the budget. It will tell you what exactly, as required by law, dues pay for so you don’t need to rely on me.
I’m pretty certain member dues pay for MS.
I mean, it would be great if the Orlando Hyatt paid for that, but I don’t think so.

Well I’m pretty certain you also didn’t read the post up thread by CarolMN that explains exactly how the MS costs are covered either. Then you wouldn’t need to think how it’s paid, you’d know.

The only component of MS that is paid directly through dues is the central reservation system that everyone (except Riviera resale owners, as mentioned above) enjoys the use of.

Okay.

So who do you think pays for Member Services?

There also plenty of other budget cost breakdowns available with a simple Google search.
