I picked up my CAT scan results today because dr. was called away on emergency and won't be back today. Results seem fine as far as lungs go but states "Scattered small subdiaphragmatic lymph nodes were noted, less than 1 cm." If they were "noted" I'm thinking it's not normal, but can't find any info on this. Any medical pros out there? Thanks.

I think that they can, my mom had 2 scans done and I think it was the CT scan that showed one of her lymph nodes was enlarged. I don't know if they can be seen if they are normal, but I guess they could if you could see that one was bigger.

I hope it's nothing and you are OK!

There is also a thing called a "spiral CT scan" which is just like a regular CT scan but goes deeper into the tissues and organs. Alot of hospitals and clinics are replacing old scanners with these spiral scans for better accuracy. So that is a possibility. I just can't remember if my mom's old regular CT scans could see into the nodes - I'm not sure but I don't think they can - but I'm not totally sure.

I'll just wait for dr to call I guess...soooo sick of waiting. I had the test done on 12/20.
