As i'm having a meal at 1900 Park Fare for 9 people after my cermony do you link i should wear my dress or not? My DF wants to change as he's wearing all white. Do you think it will look silly if i wear my dress? What do most people do for a small meal after?

I'm having a proper reception back in England after i've spent two weeks in Florida so i get to wear my dress again. Yeh :thumbsup2

personally, I would wear it. You get to have your picture taken with characters in your dress. Most brides have to pay a minimum of $600 for that.

You could always just keep your hair (wear the veil and/or tiara) and makeup done. I have seen a bride do that before.

i wore my dress to yachtmans & it was only 4 of us & we were in the CENTER of the restaurant...EVERYONE was staring at us...it was kinda cool...i even had a little girl & her mom come up to me cause she thought i was a princess....SO CUTE!!!

GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!

Thats a good point actually. Do you think i would look out of place if my DF is not in his suit?

I really wanted to keep my dress on and was planning to right up until we were headed to dinner. I got so over heated when we stopped in our room to drop off our cake and ceremony items that DH and I changed right then and there!! Also, after seeing how hard it was to get in and out of the limo in my dress, I'm sure I wouldn't have been all that comfortable sitting for 2 1/2 hours in it!

HAHA I had the silliest/tackiest idea ever! You should get DF one of those Tuxedo shirts!!!:lmao:

:rotfl2:

Oh please, please do this! I would LOVE to see pictures!

Otherwise, I think you should make him stay in his suit. For one thing, it's only another hour or two, and if he's paranoid about stains, pick up a Tide to Go pen or Shout Wipes at Wal*Mart when you get here! :thumbsup2

Also, you could remind him what ZZ Top says: "Every girl crazy 'bout a sharp-dressed man"! :rotfl:

I'm having a reception at home after our DFTW. I think you should wear your dress only if you're not a messy eater. If you think you might get something on your dress, then that's the only reason you shouldn't do it.

I dont intend to take my dress off until right at the end of our wedding day when i HAVE to ::yes:: . I think i ll de devastated when i do that as i will never get to wear it again:( . I look at it like this, my dress has cost so much money & i love it  that much that i wanna get the full use out of wearing it on our wedding day. Its the one day where as Disney brides we get to be princesses so i wanna take the full opportunity of enjoying that.

Granted our wedding days gonna be a long one, we re starting with mk shoot at 6 am & finishing the day off with a Wishes Cruise but i know it ll be so worth it :lovestruc . I ve got the rest of our holiday out there to sleep :thumbsup2 your wedding day only comes a round once

I'm going to keep mine on as I want to wear it for as long as possible! It doesn't have a huge skirt (just a train) so shouldn't be too many issues with getting in and out of cars etc lol!

We didn't get married at Disney, but in Jamaica at an all-inclusive. After the dinner, my husband changed out of his suit but I kept my dress on, i did put running shoes on underneath but no one saw that! :ssst: I wasn't taking my dress off until I had to!

If you want to wear your dress, I saw "go for it!" and if you're worried about looking out of place, insist that your FH not change, you're wearing all white, so can he!

Thank-you guys you've made me feel so much better. I've insisted DF wears his suit for the dinner. Knowing my luck it will be me that spills something down my white dress. Lol.

I'm going to wear my dress to the dinner (i want to pro-long the day and being the center of attention:rotfl: )

I was totally worried about spilling on my dress! It was hard to sit in it because of the boning. I did escape the evening unscathed (and unstained), but I had to pass on the soup course! Make sure you eat before getting dressed just in case and never pass up the opportunity to pee!

I forgot about having to go to the bathroom on my wedding day. I'm going to be a right sight with all my layers and long train over my head. Defiantly not a photo opportunity.:rotfl2:

I say if you want to wear your dress where it! I don't think I'll want to take mine off personally!!!
