I've been seeing Disney ads for the new Disenchanted movie, but I never actually watched the first one. (I think I DVR'd it at one point, but didn't make time for it and eventually deleted it.)

So is it worth going back and watching the original so I can watch the new one?

The first one is a family classic. In fact Gisselle should be included as a WDW Royal if she isn’t already.

It's one of Disney's best movies, imho. The music is absolutely amazing, Amy Adams is delightful, and it has some nice twists. The back and forth between New York and Andalusia is fun.

I can't think of a single reason not to watch it.

The new movie looks so much fun :) can't wait!

WDW really should have an Andalasia restaurant in Fantasyland.

Amy Adams had it in her contract that they cannot use her likeness beyond the movie. I think only for a very short promo period after the movie she was in the park, but only driving by in a carriage and not as a meet & greet.

(And seeing how hideous the doll was made after Emma Watson's likeness as Belle... Good call!)

Seeing Morgan grown up makes me feel old. Has it really been that long since the original? 🤣

It’s one of my very favorite Disney movies!

It’s fun & frothy & just a really lovely, feel-good movie!

And, yes, Amy Adams is perfection, & there’s a scene where she’s dancing w/ Patrick Dempsey that is romantic & swoon-y to me.

I love enchanted!! It came out when my kids were little so of course we watched it. It’s the only “kids” movie I still really love watching to this day even as an adult. In fact fur DS recent 19th birthday we watched it together…his choice. Not sure how the new one will be, I’ll give it a shot, but I’m not usually a fan of part 2s

Andalasia. Andalusia is a real region in southern Spain (which is also awesome, I highly recommend visiting).

Would absolutely recommend seeing the original. I was surprised how much we enjoyed it. We were drawn to it because we are Disney fans and Amy Adams fans, and it was really good. Actually, the entire cast was really good! We're looking to watch it again before queuing up the sequel!

Absolutely! It’s so charming. And I love the soundtrack. I hope you check back and let us know what you thought.
