Should I use Happy Limo again?

Quick question....the previous few trips that my family has taken, we've used Happy Limo. We had excellent service and great drivers--except during the last trip. Our driver never showed up--it had to do with it being the DCL embarkation day--and something got messed up. It didn't really bother me because the driver got there and got us to the airport in record time (aka 80mph  )

I know there are a lot of companies out there for this, and I'm assuming that I just caught Happy Limo on a crazy day. Should I stick with them or look elsewhere?

Used them way back in December 2000 and they were very good. I just checked out their site and their rates still seem quite competitive. I'm seriously leaning towards using them again.

Hi!!

Im debating using Happy Limo as my twon car service from the airport to Coronado Springs in 3 weeks!!!

could you let me know how much you paid one way- including fare, taxes, tolls, tip.....

i know what the price says on the website, i just wasn't sure if this included everything.

Thanks!!

Well quite honestly, Happy Limo is very very cheap and they offer a lot for their service. I'm pretty sure I"ll use them anyways because I'm sure I just caught them on a bad day.

Last time I had a stretch limo so I don't remember the exact cost, but this time I'm looking at a towncar. It's 80.00 RT but there is a code on mousesavers for $5 off. So I guess $75.

Then for the tip we'll probably give $10 or so, not real sure. They also include a free grocery stop, and if you fax the items you need a few days before they'll shop for you.

On top of their rate they will charge you $5.00 for an airport surcharge (orlando's Airport), $5.00 for car seats each way (if you do need one), and 20% gratuity. Adding all that they are the same or more expensive than other transportation companies.

Try FL Tours, the site's sponsor. They have nothing but great reviews on this boards.:D

The above poster is right with miscellaneous fees, tolls and gratuity, Happy Limo's rate is comparable to any towncar companies. The reason I went with them is their grocery stop. I know almost all the companies do grocery stops, but Happy Limo is the only one I've seen that suggests you fax Albertson's the day before with your grocery list. Albertson's will do your shopping for you so that when you stop with Happy Limo, you just need to run in and pay for it, load it into the van and you're on your way. I wasn't looking forward to shopping in an unfamiliar car with children who are anxious to get to Disney. This is the perfect solution for us and I'll pay extra to save a few minutes and have everything ready for me.

We use Happy Limo a lot, and so far the service has been consistently good. We just used them lst weekend for our latest Disney cruise and they were right on time with a nice, clean vehicle. The Albertsons stop sounds ver convenient, although we haven't tried that ourselves.

My family has used Happy Limo the past 5 trips to WDW. They have been great. Happy Limo's rate is comparable to any towncar companies. Just like BrerMama said, we love the no pressure on time grocery stop. We will use them again this Nov. for our next trip.

Ok I need help...
I am starting to look around for towncars for June trip. I would go with the Dis sponser but why would I pay them about $20 more for the same sevice as others? I am just asking a question so please no one get all crazy and defensive. HappyLimo was looking good to me until I heard that they add fees or surcharges besides the regular rate, is this true?
Keep in mind this is my first trip and I am clueless on the towncar thing. Fellow Disers help me find my way:teeth:

My recent FL. Tours Review

I do not mind paying more when I receive excellent service. I have never seen a report of any problems with FL. Tours. I believe there are many excellent services out there - I just happen to know from experience that you can count on Andy at FL. Tours to see that you are taken care of.

Just MHO - but $10 - $20 - $30 difference when planning a trip costing $1,000's is no big deal to me - when the service you receive can have such an impact on the failure/success of your trip. Again - just MHO.

Just one other random thought - don't you love having these boards available to do your trip planning?

FL Tours is the official transportation company of the DIS and by using them we are supporting these boards. I know that I would be lost when it comes to my Disney planning without these boards.

I was very upset when I contacted Happy Limo for a reservation and the price was appx $15.00 more than listed on the site! I don't understand why they just don't list the price without the little **** to find out what surcharges apply to your trip. I had a bad experience w/ FL Tours...not in a ride but when attempting to make reservations. I found their manner to be rude. Since then I will not even consider using them.
