Should I try to sneak an extra person in a 4 person room?

My family wants to try the CBR. The problem - we are a family of 5 (three kids - 19, 16, 11), the CBR only allows 4 guests/room, we can not afford 2 rooms in a moderate resort. The plan - only register the 16 and 11 year old, buy a single 8-day park hopper pass for the 19 year old and bring along an air mattress. We have already taken into consideration that we will not be able to use the Magical Express transportation service (we are driving) and that we will also not be able to take advantage of the extra magic hours (we don't care - those parks are usually the most crowded on the extra magic hour days - we avoid them anyway). Has anyone else ever done this? Is there anything else that we would miss out on by not registering our 19 year old that I have not thought of?

Yeah, you could be asked to leave.

And why dont you try Port Orleans Riverside

Why don't you try an offsite villa or suite?? Besides the fact that the rooms are only for four people or less, why do you want to be crammed in that room for vacation.
You are driving anyway and you will save alot of $$$.

I can't image that I am the only person in the world that has every thought about doing this!

We have stayed at Port Orleans with the trundle where they allow 5 - the room is just as large - we just wanted to try a different resort.

my sister "snuck" me into her room at the poly. They do let 5 in but charge extra if you have over 2 adults.

I know my cousins always bring 6 to POR even though the max is 5.

I do not think you are the only person to think about doing this. You can't really do it if you are on a package and everyone needs food/tickets.

btw cbr isn't that great. I would stay at POR anyway over it any day of the week.

I am not sure I would risk the potential of being expelled from the resort. I would look at staying somewhere where you can stay with 5 with out the worry of having to forfeit your room. Of course you could try others have said they were sucessful but keep it in the back of your mind that you may not have the same luck and what would your options be if you did have to leave. I think there are better more comfortable and more affordable options.

I'm sure WDW doesn't do a headcount, so I doubt you would get caught. Personally, I prefer a little more room with 5 people - I need 2 bathrooms for that many!

although I certainly can understand the difficulty in finding affordable rooms at Disney please remember that Disney has many reasons for wanting to know who are in their rooms. One of the most important reasons is that in the case of an emergency (fire, hurricane, etc.) the resort knows that everyone is accounted for. I'm sure with the help of these great boards you can find some alternative ideas that will allow the five of you to find a great room without breaking any rules or compromising safety. Good luck and have a great trip!

Besides the fact that this against Disney Policy....
I stayed at the CBR and quite honestly it will be too crowded with your group . You are basically having 3 adults and 2 children in a room that just is not designed for this size of a group.
You say that you can not afford 2 rooms in a moderate, so go with 2 rooms at a value resort. For about $55 a night cost difference you can get 2 rooms at a value.
If I were you I would definately reconsider trying to squeeze all of your family into one room, with only 1 bathroom. Increase your budget a bit get 2 rooms, you will not be a cramped and you'll have 2 bathrooms. You'll be able to enjoy your trip much more.
If your budget can not take the $55 more per night for 2 rooms, then look at the rental homes that are just outside of WDW. Alot of them have their own pools etc. and since you are driving anyway you'll have your own transportation to the parks. Here is a link for some info from Deb Wills site http://www.allstarvacationhomes.com...pn=ALL+EARS&ovcrn=FAQ&ovtac=AD&keyword=allear

Your 19 yr old now counts as an extra adult in the room. Unless you stay at a All Stars Family Suite or the Ft Wilderness Cabins, you'll have to pay the extra adult fee.

I love   POR... we have stayed there the past three years with 5 of us ...last year 16 y-o DS, 14 y-o DS, and 10 y-o DD. With the youngest on the trundle it is just perfect, and the prices should be the same as CBR. POR has so much to offer, great pools, Bob the Piano-man, Boatwrights, a great counter service, beautiful surroundings. I wouldn't take the chance on going against the fire code... if someone had a medical emergency it might be a problem for you.

Have fun pixiedust:

Taking away the fact that Disney could ask you to leave, I couldn't imagine having 2 teens and 3 adults in a 340 sq ft room. That just seems crazy. If you can't afford 2 rooms at CBR, I would get 2 rooms at a value, or I'd go offsite and stay in a rental house. You can get a 3 BR, 3 BA condo starting at $99/night. I'm a big fan of staying onsite, but if I had 3 older children, I would definitely consider staying offsite. You would have plenty of room to stretch out.

Why not try the Cabins at Fort Wilderness? They sleep six, I believe, and have a full kitchen and separate bedroom. I've never stayed there, but people who have say that they love them (review the camping board).

Those are my thoughts, too. Aside from the rules, I just don't think I would enjoy 5 adults/teens in one small hotel room for any length of time...and sharing one bathroom would be difficult-with everyone trying to get ready at the same time. I want my vacations to be relaxing and stress-free.:goodvibes

I would look into other resort options with more space. JMHO.
