Should I take Dining plan deal or wait??

I need some help here. Three of us in a family of four are AP holders. I am trying to decide if we should take the free dining plan on our next trip or wait until AP room only discounts come out. We would stay in deluxe & from what I can tell the savings between the two would be about $1050 either way as my oldest is 12 & doesn't qualify for child rate any more. My confusion is also with the ticket thing. I will need tickets for that week for my DH so does that qualify for the 2 day base ticket min to get this deal? Please help!

You have to buy everyone at least a 2-day base ticket to get free dining, even the AP holders, and everyone has to get the same ticket. If you do it, buy 2-day base tickets for everyone and just upgrade your husband's ticket when you get there.

Thanks so much for your help! It sounds like this may not be the deal I need to take. I was afraid the ticket requirement may be an issue. I guess we will wait on AP discounts.
