I'm thinking of going to WDW the third week in October. I understand that November starts value season, and I'm wondering if I should switch. I can only go the first week, which I know is Jersey week.

Does anyone have any thoughts on switching? I'm trying to do this trip the cheapest possible (since DH is very against it to begin with  ), so any ways to cut money are appealing. Also, cooler weather would be nice. Just hoping someone who's been there at either time could shed some light.

Thanks a lot!

We were there during Jersey week 2003. The crowds were really great. Waits were no longer than 15-20 min for the big attractions w/ many other being 10 or less min to wait. The weather was great as well, a bit muggy but that didn't bother us. If you're staying onsite then obviously your rate will be better during "value" season. So, a 2 week wait in going may be worth it.

We were there during Jersey week in 2002. MK was much more crowded than we expected. Nothing less than 30-45 minutes except Small World. We even had to wait 20 minutes in the Fastpass line for Buzz and that was during the Spectro parade. I don't know about the biggies -- Space, Splash and Thunder, our kids were too little to do those. Epcot wasn't bad and we only spent a couple hours at MGM and AK and did only shows and the Safari, so I really couldn't say about the crowds for the rides. Of course it was no where near the crowds at holidays or during summer, but we expected more like 10 to 15 minute waits for things. Plus, I hadn't discovered this site yet so we really had no plan. We are still planning on going in October for our next trip though. Can't wait for MNSSHP!:D

I agree with kilee, the first week of November is a great time to be at WDW. We were there first week of November in both 2000 & 2003 and had very nice weather and pretty short lines.

11/4 & 11/5/2003 were pretty warm (upper 80s) and humid, but coming from Minnesota, I appreciated a little hot weather!
