Should I shoot my MIL?

The 5 stages of your future problem

step 1) KISS (keep it simple stupid) just tell them "no"

step 2) WIMP- make someone else tell them "no". Give me their address and I will send them this thread :cool1:

step3) CAVE- The trip will be a living nightmare :darth:

step 4) CAVE BUT TAKE CHARGE-
if they like steak/ you go seafood
if they like mornings/ you do mostly late nights
if they like Epcot/ you do Water Park
if they fall behind/ you leave them in the dust and meet back at room that night

step 5) CAVE BUT PLAY DIRTY TRICKS (last time they'll ever go with you!)
-offer meeting times and don't show
-pour water on all their shoes in the middle of the night. feet are important!
-get lost in crowds
always blame them "I looked for you for an hour then I just went on my way"
or "I said we'd meet at Coral Reef not our Resort Cafe"

"In a war....it is not your duty to take a bullet to protect your family, Its your duty to make the other poor SOB take the bullet for their selfish interest." pirate:
June 1944, General Goerge Patton

and I wish I knew who said... "Victory favors neither the righteous nor the wicked. It favors the prepared" :umbrella:

Aren't MIL something special.

Wait a minute here, I'm a MIL and I'm sure there are times when my SIL would like to take a shot at me. But then again I can think of lots of times....

My MIL lives in Florida too, all I ever heard was why waste your money staying in the park stay here, and drive back and forth a hour each way. We did that a couple of times. Now I stay at the park then visit.

MIL just don't understand about being a Disney Addict, then again neither do SIL.

Everyone is welcome to shoot my MIL. She wanted to come on our honeymoon with us!

I kind of thank my MIL. she's what got me started on our first WDW trip.

She said something about when 'we' (meaning all of us) first take the kids to WDW. I told her flat out that DH and I wanted to take the kids to WDW for their first trip. She didn't respond. A couple of months later I found brochures for an orlando hotel (off site, of course, wouldn't want to PAY too much) in her car.

Call me small-minded and spiteful (I can be!) but I went ahead and made our own plans to go.

She lived in FL and NEVER took her own kids. In fact, they never took their kids on vacation with them at all. Dropped them at their aunt's for summer vacation while they did their own thing. She had her chance to do the whole family thing at WDW with her kids. She chose not to. I wasn't about to let her steal that first special trip where they see the magic for the first time.

She hasn't mentioned taking them since. I guess she only wanted to take them for their first time since I told her she was welcome to take them AFTER we took them on the first trip.

See? I told you I was small-minded.

DH keeps trying to bring up the theory of inviting MIL on a Disney trip. Doesn't he understand that the anti-Christ isn't allowed in the happiest place on earth?
That is the funniest thing I have ever read. I have tears in my eyes :rotfl2:
