Should I ruffle feathers? Help!

Tha I won't be mentioning that any other brides gave it to me nor will I mention that it seems like the other brides have been told something different than myself. I'm just calling to confirm what the policy is for booking at the WP

Quoting myself here. I did call today to confirm the policy and got transferred to the EM Maxine. I did not come out and ask I was asking general questions. I gave her the details of what I wanted for the wedding and here's what she said (drumroll please)................................................................................................................................................................................................ "Oh the Wedding Pavillion! That's a fabulous location. If you want it for January 8th you'll have to wait until 8 months out to book it so just call me April 8th and I'll set you up. I've got you written in my calendar so I'll talk to you then!" .........................OK I Surrender! I'm going to set up a countdown to when I can book ;)

Good for Disney. They are consistent. I think you are going to fine given the time of year that you want! The contracts/ rules it feels like to me vary based on the year you have our wedding. I know that for mine I was able to book happily less than a year out and got what I wanted. Hang in there!!!!
Have a great time planning!

Thanks Jonette! I can't wait till April 8th. I appreciate all the help and advice everyone! :teeth:

We were told that they hold the lottery 1 year in advance and at that time you can tenativley hold your date. But you can not sign the contract until 8 months.

We are looking at June 2007 and was told the same thing. I think the only exception (when they allow you to sign your contract at 12 mos) is if you are a custom with an IN PARK event. (ie: epcot or Mk reception) this is what i understood anyway.

If you are set on the WP on that day can you be flexible w/ time? There seems to be a few time slots so if you don't get the one you were hoping for maybe you can get the one before or after? Here's some pixie dust that this works out for you :wizard: . Don't worry, you are not the only one who is frustrated by the whole "you can only sign at this date" Disney system. I think that is one of the hardest parts to get through!

No, I'm not hung up on the time of day, but I would perfer to do it in the daytime while the sun is still out. If it is late evening I won't be really worried about it. I like the pics at the WP any time of day.

Well it is good you are not hung up about time...i don't think you will have a problem w/ the date if you can be flexible with the time!

I am getting married Nov 2006 and I do not have my hotel booked yet! Maybe the rules have changed for next year. Hope things will work out
