I will be going to seaworld twice at least during the trip which would require taxi. Thanks for the help :flower:

We ALWAYS have a car at WDW!! Gives you many other options (aside from Seaworld, etc) even inside WDW.

If you did not want to rent a car, Mears has a shuttle that goes to Sea World or Universal. They will pick you up at your resort, the last time I looked into the cost I think it was $28.00 per person round trip.
You can also rent a car at the car care center in WDW, the Swan or Dolphin has car rental as well as the Holiday Inn in DTD. You can just rent a car for a few days, it may save money in the long run.

we are going to have a car this time too... So I will be able to see if it is easier to get around vs. disney trans.

We always rent @ MCO 9 or 10 days, book as early as possible & add discounts to the res. We've never spent more than $180 (and that was President's Day weekend) usually less than $150 on a mid-size car w/Alamo/National on site. Of course, the compacts are less.

Everytime I try to price out a few days @ on-site rentals, they wind up estimating more than the whole trips' rental originating from MCO??

We only use the car onsite for dinner @ resort restaurants, DTD, WP's and offsite attractions. I can't imagine why anyone would drive to the MK parking lot and deal w/monorail or boat; so much longer than the bus service. Even to the far outposts of the ASR, the bus only takes 20-25 min.

Main reservation with ME is leaving WDW 3 hours+ early to get to the airport.

Generally Speaking....

You'd be stupid not to!

Price wise (assuming you reserve an intermediate) will be about $100 more then taking shuttles/taxis etc to seaworld. To me, and many others, the $100 gives you TONS of freedom and flexablity. If you have a ps at a hotel, you won't have to worry about "bus hopping" etc....

Just my 2 sense :cool1:
