Should I register two park passes into my MDE

Hello. I purchased two "hard" park passes through an outside vendor and have them on my dining room table. One for hubby, another for a daughter.

Should I "register" them in my MDE (our trip is around the corner). Or should we just carry them down there? Not sure what to do with them.

Note, we are staying in a Disney hotel and have already received the Magic Bands in the mail.

Thanks.

If you don't link them to MDE, you can't make advance FP+ selections nor use the MagicBands for park entry.

Thanks. I wasn't worried about FP as we've done the parks so many times, and just don't want to at this point. However, now I am itching to do it so I will connect Hubby and DD2. Now, what about me? I purchased an AP about a week ago, but didn't want to activiate it yet. Can I still make FPs? It's sitting in my MDE account because I purchased it through Disney.go

Can you see your AP in your MDE account? If it is there then you will be able to use it to make fastpasses. The AP becomes active the first time you use it to enter a park. It will expire one year after that date.

You're not going to use FP??? Goodness, why wouldn't you?

You can book FP for everyone, including you, if you link them to MDE. Your AP will not be activated until you arrive, but the system allows you to book FP if the confirmation number is linked to MDE.

I am truly puzzled why you wouldn't link them? Don't you want to use the MagicBands to enter the parks and FP lines?

That's just bizarre. Even if you go 1000 times, why would you not use FP?
That's like saying, I'm not going to accept a pay check, I've gotten hundreds of them already
Why would you want to stand in longer lines?
I truly do not understand the logic of just because you've gone to the parks a lot you don't want to use FP
Can you explain that one?

But to answer the rest of your question, the AP is just like a ticket, you book FP with it just like you do a ticket.

Agree with everyone's responses to your questions, OP. Don't understand why you would use FP, though... ...?

Ok, well, reading it from this perspective, I guess it does seem odd that I haven't done it. Actually, the whole family (adult kids and 1 boyfriend) is coming in on different days, different rooms, different passes, etc., Our big thing is hanging out at the SAB, going into Epcot and eating and drinking, and going to Disney Springs. We have one whole day dedicated to either TL or BB. Trust me, I love TMR, Dwarfs, etc., all of the Toy Story things, but the thought of running to be at something at a particular time wasn't clicking for me. I made our annual dinner at Ohana's months ago, as with the Boat House. So, I think I'll start linking the rest to get FPs. I know I will regret it if I don't. :sail:

Ok, so this is what I was afraid of. The two tickets that I entered and linked a few hours ago to my MDE (and I was able to book FPs for) have now disappared from my MDE. Also, the ticket I purchased through Disney.go and assigned to DD1 has now disappeared. The only ticket remaining in my account is mine.

If you are using the MDX app, try the website. If the website, then the app. They don't always agree.

I had to call Disney and they transferred me to their web/tech desk. It took almost 20 minutes but they managed to find the tickets and put them back into my account. Boy, that was scary....:crutches:
