Should I purchase Park Hopper?

My 12 y/o son & I are arriving on May 24 & staying at ASM. We are doing a 4 day My Way w/o Park Hopper. I have ADR's made & planned to be in 1 park each day. Wiil go to MK on our arrival day on 5/24 which is the 24 hr event[/B]. I am concerned we may not get to do everything we had planned in the MK but will not want to forfeit another park in order to return. (This is probably my son's 6th trip) Should I just fork out the extra $121 for optional flexibility?

We nearly always park-hop... virtually every single day.

But YOU may not NEED to.
How do you know?
What should you do?

Simple:
You don't need to buy the "Hopper Option" UNLESS and UNTIL you need it.

If you are already at one park and decide that you'd like to "hop" to another... right then,
just walk up to a ticket window and pay the $57 (plus tax) per tix (its the same price whenever you choose to do it) and you're ready to hop (that day, and any others, for the rest of your trip.)
You must make this and all other upgrade choices within the first 14 day of when the ticket was first used
and no later than on the day that you use the ticket's last asset.

If you go and NEVER need to hop, don't buy the upgrade, and you can then spend all those "extra" bucks on more WDW souvenirs!

BTW, if you want to add hopping to a ONE-DAY MYW ticket, the price for that is just $35, plus tax.

The cost to add hopping (or WPF&M) is $57 ($60.71 including tax) per ticket. It does not matter if it is adult or child, two day or ten days, first day of use or last day of use, the price is the same. (For a Florida Resident it is $28.50 plus tax.)

Note that to add hopping to a one day ticket is $35 ($37.28 including tax). Note this applies specifically to a one day ticket and not to a multi-day ticket with one day left, and it does not apply to one day only on a multi-day ticket.

So if you are not sure, don't order them. If you find you do need them, then upgrade your tickets at any ticket window or Guest Relations Office. It only takes a minute or so.

This may be a silly question, but are Park-hopper tickets needed in order to return to the SAME park in the SAME day? For example, if we were to leave the MK in the afternoon for naps, are we able to go back to the MK later that night? If so, is there any particular time we would have to return by? You can do that without hopper tickets. You can leave one park, and re enter that same park as many times as you wish within the one day you first used the ticket for that particular park. You cannot go from one park to another within the same day without hoppers.

Thanks so much! It's our first trip and I'm trying to avoid the Parkhopper, so far I really don't see the need for it either! Mother/sons/father trip, so excited, I don't know how I'm going to get though the summer!
