should i purchase Memory Maker now?

Sorry to jump on this thread with what may seem like the dumbest question ever but am I definitely right in thinking MM is the only photo package you can now purchase where before you could choose either PP or PP+?? We used PP+ last time but I wasn't sure whether or not to bother this year and MM has come in recently so I feel as though I have to start researching all over again rather than just reverting to my trusty "Disney Planner" from last trip

We have a trip booked staying on site in October but are also going offsite in august.

If I purchase memory maker for our August trip how do I stop it automatically linking to my magic band as we won't have these til October? Or will it not matter if it does?

Just to be clear, nothing is linked to your MagicBand; the band merely acts as a 'portal' to the information stored on My Disney Experience.

If you do not link Memory maker to MDE then it wll not be able to be accessed via your MagicBand. If, by any chance, it did automatically link then you would just need to visit guest relations to collect your Memory maker card to use for pictures (since you won't have the bands then) as normal. It wouldn't matter that it was linked as the pictures 'expire' after 45 days anyway, so would be long gone before your October trip.

I've now bought Memory Maker

I bought it via the link in the MDE , then i logged out and logged back in again and it auto linked it.

I bought mine too, and it auto linked.

They did give me instructions for collecting things from Will Call... does that activate the package, or can I just start using it with my magic band?

If it's linked you don't have to do anything else.
