My DD2 is really tall for her age. She talks really well and appears older than she is.Nobody believes me that she is a young 2. On our next trip in April she will still be 2. We will be checking out the day before her 3rd birthday. I can only imagine that she will be a lot bigger and talking even more clearly by then. She likes to eat. more than her 4 yo sis. Do you think I will catch flack or get the hairy eyeball.:rotfl:

Also, I was hoping to celebrate her birthday on the last day, as we will be on the road for the her entire birthday driving home. Any ideas on how to do that.

I guess I fear having to explain my large child on the whole trip at every meal and park entry.

Has anyone had an experience with this?

I really don't see it being a problem. If you look in my sig line I have a pic with my son in it and he is only 2. I always think he is big for his age and no one gave me a second look. Disney deals with children all day I think they realize children come in all shapes and sizes.

I had one of those. (He's now 22 and a strapping 6'2".) I was questioned at non-Disney buffets, airports, you name it, but never at Disney.

That is one of the greatest things about Disney in my opinion

We don't have any normal height children -- they are all very tall for their age and no one ever asks us ad WDW. My children have been questioned frequently at movies and restaurants and even told to leave a Park because they appeared too old. People have even questioned us about fudging their ages on sports forms so they could play in younger leagues (UGGGH!)

We have never had a negative size problem at Disney. Another bonus is they are tall enough to ride the cool roller coasters as soon as they want too!!

I doubt you'll have an issue - but for your peace of mind bring a Birth Cert copy just in case (it always made me feel better to have it just in case).

We brought dd when she was almost 3 and although she isn't very tall - she has ALWAYS been a talker!!! She was speaking as well as her 5 year old brother so I was a little worried.

No problems though.

I did bring her when she was almost 2...and did not buy a seat on the airplane - and already then she was a great talker - I did get some bad looks from the flight attendant and actually got in an argument with her too. I didn't put dd in a seat when we were getting ready for landing because she was upset over something and screaming (I was going to calm her down out of courtesy to other passengers and then put her in the empty seat next to me when we were just about to land, since it happened to be empty). Anyway - the flight attendant ranted about 'every ticketed passenger needing to be in their seat right now' and I explained that it was no problem since dd wasn't ticketed. She went on and on - totally not believing me.
