I'm heading to SSR in about two weeks (yea!!) and I planned on buying my AP when I got to Orlando (I want to use cash and don't have a Disney Store close to me). Is it much of a hassle to buy onsite? Is it too late to make my purchase online?

Thanks

I think if I just had two weeks to go I would just hop over to guest relations at DTD and purchase an AP there.

If you buy online, you still have to go to a guest relations to activate it. There's really no time savings.

Are you sure about that. This may be new but the last time we bought online, we did not have to activate them. I remember just using them with no problems the first time. Now it has been 2+ years and we still have a couple of days left and this may be new. We did just buy are new ones online using the link in Mousesavers and have not got our new ones yet. The big advantage as I see it is the savings. We bought for us and our son's family and saved enough to buy a good meal...smjj

If you purchase regular MYM tickets online they can be used without activation. The OP is talking about an AP which must be activated. We ordered ours last year before we went and then went to DTD customer service to pick them up and have them activated. If you have the DVC discount you need to show ID's for everyone (adult) you bought an AP for to show they live at the same address. It only takes a few minutes to do this. You can purchase at any Guest Service window at the parks also as long as you have your blue ID card to get the discount.

We went to Guest Services at the IG and bought our APs. Showed our Member card and IDs, got the DVC discount and were good to go. Took less than 10 mins.

I want to ask a silly question...as a DVCer I know you can get the discount for the AP, but I 'm just going to get the basic ticket for 5 days. Is it easier and/or a little cheaper to buy the tickets at my Disney store at my local mall??
Thanks
