The Wife and I are planning a trip to DLP for 9-13/11 via eurostar, staying at the Sequoia lodge to take in our anniversary. At the moment Disney haven't released the dates for booking via their website but we've had a quote for GBP 958 including park tickets via a travel agent. My dilemma is whether i should book the trip now or wait for disney to release the dates to see if its cheaper to book direct. My concern is that if i wait will the Eurostar sell out (I'm not keen on flying if i can avoid it) or will its prices shoot up due to limited availability. My head says wait as its an off peak time and there should be plenty of availability but my heart says book it now so we now we are definitely going . Does anyone now if Disneys prices are normally cheaper and worth waiting for??

Hmmm, hard one but I would book Eurostar and wait for Disney to release the prices. Sometimes it works cheaper if you book the train and hotel separately. We've never gone through a travel agent, always with Disney directly and it's never been a problem. I think once you have the train tickets, the rest shouldn't be a problem.

Good Luck! :)

i have only been once and have my 2nd trip booked but i found booking direct much cheaper. our wad £600 first time 2ad 1 child and £700 2nd time 2 adults 1 child inc flights for 4 nights in seqouia in sept so seems a bit steep to me thats booking flights seperately though
i would do as suggested book eurostar then hotel direct

GBP 958 seems like a lot of money for november:confused3 ... are the train tickets included?

Yes return train tickets are included in the price. Problem with booking direct with Eurostar is

1) at the moment they are not booking (via their website at least) past october 6th. I presume this is to allow travel agents to get a head start on selling their packages.

2) You have to pay an additional GBP 18 per person for DLP's verson of magical express.

You can book the Eurostar i think it is 9 months in advance over the phone so you should be able to book for November now, they charge £5 more for telephone bookings. I booked my tickets over the phone the 2nd week in February and we go in October.
I too would wait until Disney release the prices for these dates. In my experience they are cheaper.

I would book Eurostar direct over the phone and wait to book Disney direct. That will very likely be cheaper.

If you look at Rail Europe's website you can book Eurostar tickets much further in advance than Eurostar's own website. I've used them a couple of times now, price is the same and you get to know your seat numbers in advance. It is definately cheaper to book separately. I booked this way for Sequoia Lodge next month and saved more than £200 on the "package" price

Thanks everyone - I didn't know you could book the eurostar further in advance by phone. Well we just rung them and booked ourselves on for the dates we wanted for GBP 77.50 each so we're well chuffed.

Can't sit still now as

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND PARIS !!!!!!

Excellent! Now you'll the counting the days until you can book Disney!

To give you an idea, last November Sequoia Lodge cost £462 for 4 nights/5 days, using the 4 nights for the price of 3 offer, which you should benefit from this November too. So, even if prices go up a bit, it's still a very nice saving. :thumbsup2
