I made and adr at Coral Reef for our trip in June but I haven't really read anything good about it. What would ya'll do, if you would change what restaurant would you change to, it must be in Epcot or at an Epcot resort. Teppanyaki is out because we already have adr's there, and Le Cellier is out because the menu just doesn't appeal (sounds similar to any steakhouse). I'm open to any suggestions, do I stick with Coral Reef or not? :confused3

We will be at Disney World 1/27 - 2/04 and we plan on eating at Coral Reef on Saturday 1/28. I will be happy to tell you more after our trip. We think the restaurant looks like a very fun place to have dinner and my DW has this as 1 of her top choices.

I would love to hear what you think about Coral Reef after your vacation, let me know.

I'm trying to decide between Cape May and Coral Reef. The menus out there in "cyberspace" are all different depending on which site you're on. I expect this is because the menu keeps changing!!! But, if you could, a list of the current foods on the menu?

Many thanks and have a wonderful trip!!

We are planning on eating there in March. We let our son pick a restaurant this time, since we usually end up eating with a princess or Mickey! I would love to hear what you think of it.

I don't know if we just ordered right or what, but we loved Coral Reef and so did our kids. Our food was very good and our waiter was exceptional. The boys loved the aquarium. It was our anniversary and we had a great seat!

I have eaten there a few times and I thought it was okay. If I was going to go to a seafood place I would go to Fulton's in Downtown Disney. Coral Reef is very pretty inside, but the food is okay. If you have kids I'm sure they would be entertained by the aquarium.

We've eaten at Coral Reef and we were pleased. The portions were not large, but OK...we didn't leave hungry, but I could have eaten more. The food itself was excellent and I think the atmosphere is cool with the aquarium. If your timing is good, you'll get to watch divers along with the fish and we thought that was neat. As far at the other Epcot restaurants, I think the best are Tempanyaki and LeCellier. Akershus is a little to funky for my family, Mexico is good, but I can get good Mexican at home. I feel the same about Italy. We have not eaten at Chefs de France. Also, I hear that England's fish n chips at Rose and Crown are good, but a very laid back experience.
I've not done this, but I know that the Boardwalk is a close walk from Epcot. You may want to check out some of the restaurants there.
I guess the bottom line is that if you end up at Coral Reef, I think you'll still have a nice dining experience.

we have an ADR 1/28 at 7:20!! I haven't eaten here for almost 10 years and am hoping this time will not be like recent reviews.

this will be my sixth time to disney and coral reef is a must do for us every year. i have never had a bad meal there. it is pricey, but we've always had great food and love to watch all the fish. they have some sort of choc. lava cake desert that is wonderful. i think you will have a great time at the coral reef. its a not to miss for our family. :)

Go and find out for yourself. We have had a few good meals there.

Don't know about Coral Reef, but I can tell you, we weren't at all pleased with Tappanyaki. I'd consider something to replace that. Cafe Marakesh is great.

The Coral Reef had always been a family favorite until a few years back when we just were dissappointed and felt things had slipped. Well, our last trip in June 2005 we decided to give it another try. Boy I am soooo glad we did. Everything was wonderful and I would eat here again in a heartbeat!

We ate there about two weeks ago and had a great meal. My son and I had the filet mignon and we both loved it. My husband had seafood and he thought it was excellent. It is a bit expensive, but very nice. It tends to be pretty loud, too. I think that's because the aquarium wall doesn't help with the accoustics.

We're thinking of going to Coral Reef in August My grandaughter (3) would love the fish. We will be on the dining plan. Is Coral Reef still 2 TS credits or has it definitely changed to one. I don't know that we would use 2 credits for it. There are still other places we would like to go. Thanks for you help.

I just pulled the list of selected restaurants off of disneys website and it said coral reef was one table service. I just stumbled on this forum b/c I was checking to see if it was true.

If Coral Reef appeals to you, then I agree with the previous poster who said, go and find out for yourself! :teeth: We love eating lunch there, did so three times last year. The first time we went, I knew alllll about the negative reviews posted here, but I still wanted to try it for myself. And I'm so glad we went for it! It's a favorite of ours now. :) You're going to read negatives about everywhere so you gotta just go with what you want to do. You never know! :)

:cheer2: Coral Reef ,while a bit expensive, Our children love to go there. They have a huge glass wall that is oneside of the Whole restaurant. The kids love trying to get a table next to the huge tank. The childrens menu is like the rest in the park, except that on the back, all the fish that are in the tank have pictures on the menu and the kids search the tank looking for the fish. The atmosphere is very relaxing and serene. We have reservations in April. We also like Alfredos(great italian food) and Germany is fun...not so much great food, but the dinner show is interactive and lots of fun to experince at least once. Hope that helps!

We have been to the Coral Reef and we thought it was wonderful. Lunch is the best time to go too.

I had : Blackened Catfish - served over pepper jack cheese grits, topped with smoked tomato compote, and drizzled with a balsamic glaze

It was very tasty; the pepper jack cheese grits were simply divine!

Everyone has different tastes, so go try it for yourself and make up your own mind. I am sure the experience will be worth your time and with the right frame of mind you will have wonderful memories of Coral Reef the same way I do! ::yes::

Okay I am going to stick with Coral Reef. I know my kids dd 9 and ds 6 will enjoy the aquarium but dh will love the aquarium. If you aren't seated right next to it, will we still have a good view of the fish?
