The only reason I would join is to get a discount at WDW. We are going in April and have not booked anything yet :rolleyes1
My question is, how do I know I will get a discount if I do indeed join? I want to book a package-dining included so I know I would have to book directly through AAA.

Does anybody know if there are any discounts for April 2007 with AAA? I have searched extensively and can't find anything for April.

Thank you :goodvibes

I called last night and made reservations at the Polynesian for Sept-Oct at the AAA rate. I got 15% off rack rates. I was not asked for my membership number. You could try calling and reserving at the AAA rate and then when you know you have it, join.

I decided to make the leap and join AAA this year specifically for our Disney trip. It cost a little over 50 for us to join and it saved us about 400 on our package, well worth it in my oppinion!

Was it easy to book through the AAA agent? I see you can do it online, I wonder if they still offer the same savings online vs agent on phone once I would join.

Thank you for your response :thumbsup2

I have a AAA rate at the GF for one of our upcoming trips. It will be worth the $50 to join since the discounted rate will save us about $270. So that's $220 in pocket and we have the membership for a year.

Initially, we joined for the WDW savings - which was about $150 for our POFQ with DDP package in May. But since we've had it we have used the card other places and saved money as well. My only "issue" with AAA for WDW travel is to be sure that you have a good agent. I think that it is worth it. JMHO

I got my AAA membership when I realized there would be no AP rates for June 2006. It cost $60, saved me $195 on the room. And, lo and behold, several months later I actually needed it for "roadside assistance". They're really great - they show up anywhere, treat you nice, and take care of your auto problems. I recommend AAA even if you don't get the discounts!

I have a trip booked for December through a travel agent (Dreams Unlimited). My mom brought in something she got in the mail yesterday - a membership application to AAA and it allowed her to add one family member for free (me she says as her DL, Car insurance, etc are all registered to my address - long story). My question - is it too late for me to apply this discount to my reservation (I've only paid the required $200 down if that matters)?

I freaking love AAA!!!! I have saved over $200 on the last three trips, love it! I have a great agent and it was so easy!

If you booked through Disney, you'd only be able to book a room only. If you wanted to book a package deal using AAA, you'd have to cancel your existing one and call AAA as packages have to be booked through AAA, but just a room can go through Disney.

I got quoted yesterday for about $100 less then what Disney lists for a package at Pop for 6 nights in Sept. So after membership, I would almost save enough for one night, plus my wife will have AAA for a year.

I just purchased a membership :thumbsup2 Now I have to wait until Monday to talk to a rep :sad1: But I'm excited

Thanks for the advice :flower3:

Just FYI, I have always been with AAA and didn't even realize that I could get a discounted MYW package with AAA. A Disney rep told me when I was trying to get a room for this Easter with a AAA discount for room only. I thought I was reaching and time was running out but desperate because Easter is SOOOOOOOO expensive. I needed 2 rooms. I called the AAA rep and she could only get me a AAA discount at the CS, (looking at mods only). I got the rooms, MYW tickets and the DDP for $500 less than the Disney site. I was in heaven. Luck, and all this was done less than three months before departure. I love AAA.

We have always saved far more than the membership costs by being AAA members.....

I just got off the phone with AAA. The package they quoted me (including dining) was $167 less than what Disney quoted me. This is a 6-night trip in late April at CB. Also, if booked by Jan 31st, I get a $25 Disney gift card. Seems worth it to me!

I just booked our package :cool1:

I have an awesome agent named Renaud :goodvibes I saved $142.48 on our package, and getting the $25 Disney Gift card at check in. I have him pricing some other options ( in case DS-18 tags along) He is super sweet and gave me his direct line. I was nervous after hearing all the horror stories about bad AAA agents, but he is super sweet :thumbsup2

I have POFQ 2 adults 2 kids 7 day park hopper with dining for $ 2968.52 :cheer2:

Thanks for all the advice on here folks :flower3:
