We booked in December but didn't think about going through AAA. I called Disney and they told me they didn't give any AAA discounts on packages. If I called AAA and booked with them would it be worth it? Anyone ever book through AAA and get a good deal?

Are you going over Christmas? If so, I wouldn't count on a AAA discount or any other discount for that matter. Christmas week has never been discounted....and that includes AAA.

If you are going between 12/1 and 12/17 you can get upto a 20% discount (value season) depending on which resort you pick it may be less, but if you get a pin or other % off from Disney you would be better going with that, also remember if you use a TA you will not be able to do the 90 + 10 with the online dining reservations, you would have to call Disney to be able to do this.

This is no longer true. Disney has fixed this problem. Now anyone, regardless of how you booked can associate their reservation and do their dining reservations online and book 90 + 10.

We used AAA to book our last 2 trips to Disney and were very happy! Our first trip we saved about $500 for our six night/mk view/CR room. Last year we did not save as much total, but it was more than $200 for a standard CBR room. The agent even compared different dates to look for cheaper rates since we were a bit flexible. Then I called back, added the buy 4/get 3 and moved the dates again.

The only thing I was surprised about was their lack of knowledge of the availability of renovated rooms at CBR. Guess I spend WAY too much time searching the internet for updates on resort renovations.

I booked through Dreams Unlimited for December (two weeks before Christmas) and applied my AAA membership. Rate was lower than Disney. I have not checked with AAA directly.

You can use a AAA discount with Dreams Unlimited? Was that for a package? I thought I had to book through a AAA agent in order to get a package with the AAA discount.:confused3
