12 days to go! :woohoo:
I booked online with WD Travel Co. After I paid in full at the 45 day mark I got a package in the mail with our itinerary. It stated our names, where would be staying, thsat we are in on the DP and included luggage tags and some planet hollywood vouchers. It stated on the itinerary that we had the 5D MYW admission. Forgive for not knowing but should I have gotten those tickets in this mailing. Or do I get them when I check in at the resort? We had planned on going straight to a park before checking in but I guess that isn't doable. As you can guess we are first time newbies and need some help. Thanks

You usually get your tickets when you check in at your resort, that way they can also allow you to charge things to your room/ ticket If you prefer. Just go ahead to your resort, your room may or may not be available yet, but they will know that you are already onsite. :thumbsup2

You will not be able to go straight to the park. The park tickets are on your room key/card, so you will need to go to your resort first. If your room is not ready they will hold your luggage for you so you can go and enjoy the parks.

Have a magical trip. I know you'll love it!! pixiedust:

Yes, as everyone said, you will get your park passes only at your resort upon check-in. Your "tickets" will be coded onto the magnetic strip on the back of the card that doubles as your resort ID/room key. This same card can also be set up for a room charge, so that you'd have very little need for cash on WDW property.

Did you make your reservations for the free Disney's Magical Express? Your luggage will be automatically delivered to the inside of your resort room whether you're in there or not, but you'll still have your carry-on bags to handle. Your resort's Bell Services can store these while you go out to play (if your room isn't ready yet).

Hi for the gal wanting to know about getting her park tickets her the thing when you check into you disney hotel you will get you room key for everyone in your party and linked to these key will be your park ticket. You can also add a credit card to these keys so you can charge right to you room. Just be careful not to lose your key!!!! Have a wonderful time I'm leaving myself Sep 27 for girls only weekend!!!!! Cant wait!!!!! I am also a Disney Specialist I work for a trave agency you if you have any other questions please feel free to contact me. THat goes for anyone else who may read this. Ok, how does this park ticket, roomkey thing work? I haven't been down since 93 and stayed off-site so this is all new to me as well. We're going next month for 8 days, 7 nights. Are they individual park ticket cards?

Thanks :)

If you are staying at a Disney resort....

Your resort key looks like a credit card. The number of days you have purchased to go into the parks in encoded on these cards. You take these cards to the parks with you for entrance. If you bought base tickets, your card will only allow you to visit one park per day (for how ever many days you purchased). If you bought hoppers, your card will allow you to park hop for how ever many days you purchased. It's all electronically kept track of and it works. If you didn't purchase the hopper it will not let you enter another park on the same day.

These room keys can also be used like credit cards. When you check into your resort you can leave a visa/mc credit number. This number can be connected to your room key so that you can use it as a credit card in the parks and DTD. You can charge just about anything. Even some of the little ice cream stands will let you use your room key. At the end of your stay everything you charged on your room key will be charged to the credit card number you left with them. There is a limit however, $500 for value resorts, $1,000 for moderate resorts, $1,500 for deluxe resorts.

One word of advice. Carry these cards seperate from anything else. Don't put them next to other credit cards, cell phones, etc. They can get unencoded and not work at the parks or to open your room.

Have a great trip! :goodvibes
