Hey everyone! Of course, I WANT a dessert party, but I just do not know if it's worth the money. After seeing all the beautiful pictures of you all (and especially of the yummy desserts ;) ) I think it might be worth the money. We would like to do it the night before our wedding, but I am not sure if we'd do Illuminations or Fantasmic. We'd probably have around 50 people.

If you do not mind, can you tell me how much your dessert party cost? For those who had one, were you at all disappointed? For those who did not, do you regret it? Any tips to help save money are also welcome!

Thank you so much for the info! I know you all will be so helpful, as always :goodvibes

I loved loved loved my fantasmic dessert party, it was really one of the best nights of my life and it was one of those things that my guests keep talking about!! I was so glad I had it on a different night as the wedding so I could extend the festivities a bit :) The rental fee for the venue was 200 plus tax, and there was an $80 set up fee. The rental fee included the price of the guides. We chose a "create your own buffet" and picked 4 dessert choices, I think it was 20.50 each plus tax and tip, so the total for food was 1,257 or so. So the total was 1550. I felt it was actually very reasonable for all that we got for the money! I didn't add any decorations and I brought in some bottles of water instead of paying for the soda & beverage service.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info! $1550 does not sound that bad... haha, I want a dessert party so bad! I saw the pictures from your party, Mary, and it did look like lots of fun! :)

I forgot to mention that most of my guests used their admission ticket to get into the park, but the ones that didn't have tickets I paid 12.50 per person as a "viewing fee" for them. That wasn't so bad either, only about 12 to 15 people didn't have admission tickets. but you might want to keep that in mind when budgeting. I hope you can find a way to make it work! :goodvibes

I really really really want an Illuminations dessert party for our Intimate wedding! Not only do I have a raging sweet tooth, because it is our first time at WDW not to mention THAT WE ARE GETTING MARRIED (!!), I'd like to do something super special.

I just received pricing from FTW and I am THIS close to signing up. It might be a bit over the top, but I want to have the Deluxe dessert menu ($29.50 per person) with tiramisu, English Trifle and miniature pastries.

To me, the dessert parties are the perfect way to add that much more of the Disney magic to an already special trip! :wizard:

We are having a welcome party the night before our intimate wedding and we are also trying to do it as cheap as possible. So, here is our pricing:

Uk Upper Site Fee = $200.00
F&B --Minimum = $19.50 per person
Viewing Fee = $12.50
and then we decided to have photography there which is $295.00

Hope this helps -- there are alot of different menus to pick from, but we are doing the cheapest one (The Child in You Menu)

We are only having about 23 people so it's not too bad.

Thanks for all the help! Does anyone have a copy of the different menus/ pricing. I know the prices will change for 2007. If you do have it, can you PM me? Thanks! :)
