Should I go in November or March?

Quick background - husband and I are planning a trip to Disney without children :) We've been many times before and take a rather laid-back approach to the trip. We're trying to decide between November 2017 and March 2018. Specifically the week after Thanksgiving/first week of December and the second week in March (Easter is April 1 that year and I'm not sure if that is a Spring break week). We've gone in December before and enjoy the Christmas displays and lower crowds but have had some really cold spells (like colder than at home in CT) which made part of the trips difficult. We've never been in March, don't know much about the weather and crowds and want to find out more about Flower and Garden Festival. Can anyone give any insight as to what you would choose? Thanks!

Traditionally the week after thanksgiving is a very low crowd week (might be the lowest of the year), but it's also a week they usually do not offer any discounts. This is the first year where it was different and there was discounts including free dining this week. based on how many people asked about that week this year, I think we're looking at a very crowded week. You've gone this time of year so you know roughly what's available around disney...

March can go any direction. Spring break isn't a worldwide same week off. different ages see different times off, some countries have whole country holidays for a month. You also have school competitions like cheer and band that might take place at espn (they fill up the value and moderates). flower and garden is one of my favorite things around WDW. This year was the first time it started in march and it started about the middle of the month. Lately it seems like epcot is going to be a never ending food festival, just depends on what it's called and how many booths for what time of year your thinking about, if it's daily or just weekends. I would wait to see when it starts in 2017 and do recommend aiming for it. keep in mind first and last weekend and week tends to be the busiest of anything new at disney.

The second week in March is the first full week of spring break, and it is always quite busy - typically 8-9 on crowd calendars - in large part due to the fact that the vast majority of Texas' public schools have that week off every year. The weather is usually quite nice, and the crowds are usually manageable. But, the combination of lower crowds and Christmas activities and decorations in November would make it my choice.

Flower and Garden has always started in March, I believe, and usually towards the beginning of the month. Last year, they did expand the festival by adding dates later in May. This year's dates are March 1-May 29.
