We're moving this summer, and will live 30 minutes from Disneyland. I have a WDW Platinum AP that's good through January 1, and I'm very tempted to upgrade it to a Premiere during an upcoming trip to LA this April.
Help me think this through:
Option 1)
Upgrade my WDW AP to a Premiere AP on April 19. Then, in January 2018, start paying $100+$65/mo for a new DLR Signature AP.
Option 2)
Just get a DLR Signature AP on April 19. It would cost about $180 more, but would give me 4 more months' access to the parks.
It looks like the price difference between the two options would be minimal. (The Dec 18-31 blackout dates on the Signature AP don't concern me because I'll be at WDW Dec 16-23.)
If I can't upgrade my WDW AP to a premiere at Disneyland, this entire line of reasoning is moot.
What would you do?
