Should I get memory maker?

I was like your husband when we were planning our trip for March. Ultimately I decided to go for it, and it was the best decision we ever made! It was worth it's weight in gold and then some.

We are the same way, not taking pictures because we could take our own and save the $15 per picture yada yada yada.

We were able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about capturing the memories. It also is very interesting when you know you have unlimited photos how suddenly those Disney photographers seem to be a lot more useful to you. We got great family shots in front of the castle, with the characters and all over. Instead of one of us sitting back and taking pictures, mom and I were able to participate and not feel like we were missing photos. We were able to not bring our camera and worry about losing it, damaging it or other things.

In the end after a week we arrived to over 500 photos. No way we would have taken that many on our own. We were able to download them all for nothing extra and have them forever. The ride photos are great too because they all get added and all we had to do was walk up and scan our magic bands at the rides and pick the photos.

Did I say do it!? Absolutely, without a doubt, spend the $150 dollars. It will be the best money you ever spent at Disney and this coming from someone who was doubting the whole thing before we did it.

It's really great! The tower of terror video is worth the price alone. The pictures the photographers take are quality pictures and they usually take more than 3. It's nice to have pictures of my whole family together. Also the pictures are automatically downloaded to your MDE account so you don't have to wait in line after the ride to claim your photo...really great feature.

I would advise you to get Memory Maker.

We had a party of 7 and it was so nice to have all of us in the pictures.

If your party decides to split up and go to different rides or areas you will have all the pictures because it is tied to the Magic Band.

It does not take long to purchase $149 of character experiences and meet and greet photos.

Go for it! We loved being able to personalize the photos ourselves for our scrapbooks.

Either way you will have a fantastic time.

I'm glad I found this thread. I booked my upcoming November vacation last year when it was still called Photopass Plus. I am wondering if I should change it to Memory Maker - is there any advantage to either one?

Any advice is welcome

With PP+ you were supposed to get printed pictures at the meals that offered them (not just Akershus and CRT). I don't know if they would still do it because they aren't offering prints at any restaurants anymore. If they are still offering it, it is a plus.

MM includes the ride videos (TOT), they just started offering that so that may be a plus for MM.

With PP+, you could get an actual CD of your photos along with the stock photo CD. MM is ALL digital downloads of only your photos. You don't get a CD of your photos or a stock photo CD.

With PP+, you had to stop at the photo counters at rides to have it added to the card and the person with the card had to go to the ride. The ride photos automatically associate with your account if you have the magic bands and MM, I don't know if it would do the same with PP+ or if you would still have to stop and scan.

Thank you - I like the video option - I think I am leaning towards switching to MM

It was sooooo worth it for me!!! I came home with over 250 pictures!!! One of the cool things for us was my DD did the BBB experience so the professional pics they take at the little studio across the way...ALL of those went on the memory maker!! I am also a scrap booker so it is great to have them! I stop and take pics every where and my hubby hates but he has not choice! LOL
