Should i get a visa?

If I call for a Disney visa tonight, will I get in on the discounts when I call in the morning? Should I just chill out and wait til the 10th?
We are booked 2/28- 3/8 @ the Poly, MYW, DP.

No. You will have to make a new deposit using your Disney Visa and you won't get your card numbers until the card comes via the mail in a few weeks.

My guess would be you would have to wait until you received the card to get the discount but Disney will hold your reservation for a few days w/o paying. Usually it takes just a few days to get the card. Maybe you will get lucky and get it before the 10th.

I can't remember how long it took my disney visa to get here but I got a southwest card a few months ago and it was here within 3-5 days.

I was just debating this myself. I don't know how it works now, but we did get a Disney Visa when booking a trip once, and however they did it, we got the # that day and used it right away. (BUT this has been a few years ago....)

In the interim, I got ticked at Chase and closed the card and of course am now kicking myself, but at the time it seemed like a good idea. I can't remember what it was, but they just sort of made me want to take my business elsewhere, which we did. But I was toying with applying for a new one now, in order to take advantage of this. I guess I could call Chase and ask....eh...maybe tomorrow. Yawn.

I'm hoping we'll still be able to take advantage of the offer on the 10th either way. I really *don't* want the card. Cute as it was.

Someone in another thread recommended this and it worked for me:

* Logged in to my existing January package reservation online
* Clicked on the "apply" ad for the Disney Visa
* Applied and was instantly approved
* If you're instantly approved, you can book / pay for a reservation for WDW even without the card in hand so...
* I went back in to my reservation and clicked to make a payment toward my balance
* Made sure to select the new Disney Visa as my payment method
* I made a $200 payment (essentially re-making the deposit)
* Called in, the CM could see the $200 payment on the Disney Visa and was able to apply the promo
* Woo hoo!


So, apply tonight and call in the morning to apply the deal. It worked for me!!

Wow, that is quick. Do they give you your card number when you are approved. I have a card already but my friend needs one.

They assign you a card number but they don't give it to you. I can see the last 4 digits and the expiration from my reservation page so I know it exists. It didn't matter for me though - the CM saw my $200 "deposit" on the card and was able to apply the promo!
