Should I even try to get seated without ADRs?

Hello everyone! I'm going to be in WDW in mid-May (just me and my husband) and I would love to be able to eat at T-Rex or Raglan Road but there are no reservations left, of course. Would it be impossible to get a seat there without reserving? How long would the wait might be for a dinner?

Thanks in advance!

Before WDW started charging a cancellation fee, it was pretty easy; now, try to book. Keep calling and especially try 1-3 days before you want to go as people firm up their plans and timely cancel their ADRs before the penalty kicks in.

You can call T-Rex directly. It is not owned by Disney and frequently people have success going right through them.

For RR I would just keep trying.

We have eaten at T Rex 3 times and have never made an ADR for it. We've had to wait twice a while for it, but usually we would just let my son go play at the lego store while waiting :)

Thanks for all the replies! So it's just easier to just call directly? I've been looking online every hour or so for the past week, and there's been nothing open. :surfweb:

For T-Rex, call them directly; for some reason they don't release a lot of times to Disney. The number is (407) 828-8739. I'm surprised about Raglan Road though. I've never heard of it being a hard one to get.

I would be ok with waiting if I could wait elsewhere. Do I have to wait in the restaurant for a table or is there a system where they will call me?

To get a reservation at Raglan Road you can email the restaurant directly or use Open Table.
http://www.raglanroad.com/

At T-Rex the Lego Store is nearby, but it's probably beyond the range of the T-Rex pager so one person in your group will have to wait in the restaurant to call when your table is ready. There is also a children's sand play yard at T-Rex itself.

I always tell people 'there's no harm in trying.' However, many many many times I've seen people check-in at the podium to be told they are not accepting walk-ups. But since your are discussing 2 DTD locations I think you may have better luck, but may depend on if you are trying peak hours or non-peak hours. I think inside the parks are harder to do walk-ups than outside the parks. Good luck.

No reservations were showing up online for T-Rex for May 14, and I called them last night and they had lots of dinner time slots available. Call them!

T-Rex and Raglan Road both only give Disney a fraction of their availability on any given night. So it is very possible that when going through Disney that they will be "booked".

For T-Rex, call then directly.

For Raglan Road, go to their website and use the link to Open Table and book through that.

Yes, I have seen people turned away at Raglan Road. I have also seen people walk up and get told it is a 1.5 hour wait. It is quite popular.

Another vote for calling directly. Now, I have never been turned down by calling, but on the REALLY remote chance there's nothing...they definitely take walk ups.

Us too! 3 times and never made an ADR...longest wait was like 30 minutes so my husband and DD just went to the Lego store.

Ok, I will definitely call them. Hopefully they have some seats open!

You could also just go in and sit at the bar to eat at either of those restaurants.

I called them and they had plenty of seats left! Snagged a 5:30 dinner reservation. Thanks for all your help guys! :worship::banana:
