i just realized that Narocoose is 2 credits so that wouldnt work out ...so i will cut Naracoose out and go with probably 1900 Park Fare Dinner ....but still need to know if the Dining Plan is worth it...????

I think you need to run the numbers. Check online menus to get an idea of what you think you would pay out of pocket and see if that matches what you get with the dining plan as well as the costs. Will your 10 year old order/eat like an adult?

It's going to cost you about $160 per day to be on the plan. With such a short stay you have very little wiggle room to use an entitlement if something goes wrong or you can't get what you want, then you end up using a TS for a CS meal. Do you need desserts for every meal or need the resort mugs?

My personal feeling, with (using Disney's breakdown) I have 3 adults and 2 kids. If I can snag free dining then the dining plan is usually better for me than a room discount. But my philosophy now is that if it isn't free, then I will pay oop for meals and not pay for the DDP. There's just too much on there that we don't need. Its great if its free, but if I have to pay for it, not so much.

I think Disney themselves say in their promotions for DDP that you can save up to 20%. Not worth it in my book, especially for such a short stay.

Let's put it this way.
Unless you planned on getting the most expensive entree at Narcoose's...
And especially if you don't all need an individual dessert at every meal, it would be more cost effective to just pay oop than the ddp.
