Should I cruise in September?

I want to cruise a 3-night on the Dream next fall, and noticed that no 3-nights are being offered after September. I found an affordable 3-night in mid-September that has a nice concierge cabin I'd like to try. I've never cruised concierge before. Should I book it? I'm wondering as typically I prefer cruising in the cooler months, but I guess a hot cruise is better than no cruise, and sailing concierge I'd probably be able to get a cabana. I'm also wondering if it would be crowded with people who have rescheduled with FCCs, since September is the final month for that.

How have you all found the weather to be in mid-September on Castaway Cay? I know about the hurricane risk and am willing to roll the dice on that.

Expect a daily afternoon heavy rainstorm on Castaway. Since you are sailing concierge, you can likely get a cabana to shelter in.

I have cruised in September many times. The water is amazing. You won't want to get out of it. It's like a warm bath. Hopefully, it's crowded because it means things are back to normal.:duck:

It’s our favorite month to cruise, so I would say to go for it! It’s always been less busy when we’ve gone, more international families as US students are just getting back to school.

Just be prepared it is the height of the hurricane season. Our 7 night eastern turned into a western just before Dorian. As we were the last boat at CC the day before it shut down and got hit bad by Dorian.

Maybe look into insurance if that can be an issue. It doesnt scare us off, and we plan to book again for September and to be honest, I would take the worries a small threat of a hurrican effecting my cruise vs all the (xx insert own words xx) Covid has been causing.

Just remember that deposits for concierge are non-refundable.
Yes, I do know that, thanks. That's why I'm getting second opinions before pulling the trigger on the booking. I'm sure that I will cruise next fall or winter eventually, so even if I change the cruise, I'll still use the deposit money towards DCL. I'm only going to pay the minimum deposit to complete the booking, which for a 3-night Dream cruise in September isn't too much.

Since they have so few 3-nighters available, though, I really don't see myself changing the cruise this time. My schedule is too tight for anything longer while school is in (I'm a teacher), and the school vacation prices are more than I want to pay this year. The Wish is too pricey for me, too- I don't want to pay the new ship upcharge.
