Should I confirm?

After reading some threads on mia ADR's I wondered if anyone calls and confirms them in advance?

I've got all our ADR numbers and also was curious what happens if we get there, they say we don't have one and we show them the confirmation number?

I planned out all out table service meals and won't be a happy camper if we get bumped!

I never confirm and have gotten to the podium and had them say my reservation was cancelled -- or they don't have it - at which point I just tell them my confirmation number or show it to them and let them figure out what to do with me (they always seat me).

Typically they tell me that the reservation was cancelled by me on such and such a date and I just tell them nope it wasn't.

I don't make lots of calls and do lots of switching around so I figure its not my calling and causing them to get into my reservation that is causing these glitches.

I have even had this happen at CRT and was seated with just the confirmation number and my word.

And btw - these are real confirmations and real reservations (or ADRs or PS or whatever they were calling them at the time)

I've never called to confirm my ADRs and I've never had a problem at all. I brought along all my confirmation numbers on one long sheet and I wrote them individually on a business size card to stick in my husband's wallet. You can also have your resort Concierge desk print out a complete list of your ADRs when you check in.

If it gives you a peace of mind, just call 407-W-DISNEY and confirm the reservations.

Have a great trip and eat lots of great food! Lisa

I always confirm my ADR's before leaving home. I also, ask guest services at the resort to print out my ADR's.

I too always call and confirm, not just my ADRs but my hotel ressie as well. It never hurts to double check. :goodvibes

I wouldn't. Either way, they could still get lost. Last trip, luckily all of our ADR's were there, but the trips before that we ran into some lost ADR's. For instance, on two separate trips they lost ours for Sci Fi. On the trip before the last one, they lost our breakfast at Akershus. As long as you have a confirmation number, they really can't turn you away. We never had a problem, and didn't have to wait very long. (However, maybe they got the feeling that I would have made a big stink had they turned us away. :rotfl: )

Do you post your ADR's on here? Maybe people from here are canceling your ADR's and stealing the spots for themselves. :rotfl2:

I have never had to confirm, but I do ask for a print out of all my ADRs when I check in.
