Hi.
Right now we have a cat 6 room reserved #6548-between forward and midship elevators, for our first Disney cruise Jan 2004. I've been reading alot of information saying that being near the aft elevators is a better way to go- closer of topsiders, the pool, most of the restaurants etc. Last I checked an aft room# 6608 just opened up. Should I switch rooms? My sister has been on a couple of cruises and says to keep the room the way it is now(6548 midship). I think we will be running up to topsiders every morning to bring breakfast back to the cabin to eat on the veranda, Is there any opinions out there???
Which one is better?????

Help......I'm obsessing..........

We had room 6552 on our last cruise, and loved the location. We have cruised twice and have had a mid-ship location both times. We thought both rooms (our other was 6064) were very conveniently located and noise was never an issue.

Definitely go midship!! We had 7054 and felt we had the best room. We were steps away from the elevator and ALWAYS used the midship elevator unless debarking. Even when we went to Beach Blanket for the buffet in the morning, all we had to do was go up to the pool and we were there at the buffet-same for Palo's. As far as dinner, we would get ready in the room and then go to Bingo by taking the midship elevator and walk over which is was held in one of the nightclubs (they are either Aft or Forward, I forget which) but the walk to get to them from the midship elevator is small. We had no noise at all. The elevators are not really "next" to anyone's room. The rooms are all down a long corridor on either side of the elevators. Both DH and I said we couldn't have picked a better room for the location. Stay where you are!

We had room 6624 on our last cruise which is near the aft elevators and we found this location so ideal that we booked the exact same room for our next cruise this May. We loved being near the elevators and just a few floors from topsiders and the pool area (where we spend the majority of our time) and we never heard much noise from the foot traffic. It's also just 1 flight of stairs and around the corner to the Buena Vista Theatre to the children's program, where our son spends the majority of his time! No matter what you choose this is a great floor to be accessible to most parts of the ship quickly. Happy Cruising!

We had 6550 on our last cruise and loved the location. One floor down and the kids club was right there. 3 flights up was deck 9 and a nice walk to Topsiders or the beverage station. We always took the stairs(elevators tooo slow) and it is good excercise after all the food. I prefer midship

I have a question if anyone can answer - We had a room near the aft elevators on our last cruise. We loved it!

I would consider getting a mid room, but it seemed like everytime we tried to use the mid elevators, they were always so busy and we would have to wait - We only tried a couple of times. Just wondering if this was common - If so, we would just book an aft room as we never had problems getting on there -

Thanks!

Karen

Last cruise we were in 6568 and loved it! We again booked midship-across the hall in 6072 but we had a better deal come up that would move us aft...the savings were worth the move...all posts I've read say aft is fine. I'll let you know when I get back in a month... :bounce:

we found the midship elevators to be exceptionally busy...especially around decks 3 and 4....I would opt for a stateroom near aft elevators, since they are far less used.
