Should I Call Or Not?

Just looking over our reservation for next week and noticed they spelled my daughter's name incorrectly, instead of Rocio they spelled it Rosio. I'm afraid to call and correct it because of stories I've heard right here on the Dis about reservations being cancelled or changed. It's only one letter and shouldn't be anything important right? I think I'm safer to just leave it alone.

You can leave it alone and then have them change it at the front desk at check-in so that her name on the card will be correct. They had my son's name spelled wrong last year and fixed it at the desk when I noticed it printed wrong on the card. It wasn't a big deal and they had it fixed within a minute.

I would just wait until you get there. My daughter's name was spelled wrong on her key card. She is 6 and she noticed it and wanted them to fix it. So, we went to the front desk and I told them that she had a request. They made a big fuss - "what would the princess like?" princess:- she told them that her name was spelled wrong. They fixed it right away - gave her a new card within minutes and also gave her some stickers. She was delighted!

I agree. Last year my son's gf's name was spelled wrong and they just printed a new card with the correct spelling. I would only be concerned if it was spelled incorrectly on an airline ticket.

We've done all of the above. Same thing happened to our daughter several times. It's surprising how many different ways "Brigit" can be misspelled. Even though it had been corrected at the front desk it was still incorrect in the Disney database. I made a call to member services and haven't had a problem since.

I agree, it's no big deal, just wait until you get there and correct it if you want. Its no an airline ticket or important legal document after all...smjj

We've been having a similar issue regarding the ages of the kids going on our next trip. We are bringing another family who we haven't seen in more than a dozen years. The woman used to be our son's nanny, and we've stayed close to her and her husband long distance-wise ever since.

They now have 4 kids who have never been to WDW. So we are having a big reunion (sort of - we've only met the oldest 2 kids when they were very young).

Every time I call MS they ask for the kids' ages, which I used to have written down somewhere when I first made the reservation, but have since lost. MS asks every time I call (latest was to set up ME for our two families).

I just take a guess - oldest is 14, youngest 7. We have a GV for the trip.

I figure if there are issues at check in their mother can sort it out.

I agree with the email. That way if you do online checkin her KTTW card will be printed correctly and a new card will not have to be made up. That does take longer than a minute, sometimes several minutes.

I agree the name should be spelled correctly but for a small child even on a KTTV card it is no big deal. Unless you want it as a souvenir later it just makes no difference for a misspelled first name for a minor...smjj
