Should I buy my tickets to Universal now for 1st week of April?

I have already booked a room for our trip to Universal/Islands of Adventure and we are going 1st week of April- so during Spring Break time. We plan on buying tickets for 2 day 2 park, park to park... should we go ahead and purchase our tickets now? Any chance the parks will sell out and we will not be able to get tickets? I'm a little nervous about buying tickets now that would only be good for certain dates.... just in case something were to happen and we couldn't go.

Any advice on when to buy? And also... is the Universal website the best place to buy those tickets?
Thanks!!

I'd buy them now unless this is your one and only chance to do the trip. If you could potentially reschedule for a future date, I wouldn't worry about it. Your tickets will carry over. You may have to pay a bit more in case the new park dates are more expensive...but that first week of April is likely to already be at the high end of ticket prices. We bought ours on Undercover Tourist. Didn't save an earth shattering amount but it was enough to buy some Butterbeers. :)
I did see that Express Passes have sold out for some March dates already so I would get those if you haven't booked Hard Rock, Royal Pacific or Portofino.
Both tickets and EP prices can (and likely will) go up as the date approaches.

We could re-schedule if needed ... I thought that when you bought the tickets they were dated for a certain date... is that incorrect? I'll have to check back on undercover tourist... I looked this weekend and the price was the same, but will definitely check again, thanks!

Their website is maddening and I can't find the wording. But, as long as you haven't activated your ticket (and if you haven't bought a limited time promotional ticket, like the current buy 2 get 3 promo "

You should be able to pay the difference if the price is higher on your new dates but still be able to use your tickets. They will still be good- at least as far as I have read in the past but can't seem to verify today! I hope someone else can. :)

If you link them in the app, you can change the date and pay the difference right there :)
