should I bring the puffers in the carry on?

MY DD is allergic to dust mites.. only has attacks at night unless she has a cover then she is fine. I will be bringing the puffer just in case but most likely will not be using it. should it be packed in the carry on or the checked luggage? does the pressure do anything to it?

I have a nephew with severe ashtma and he always travels with his 'puffer'. It stays in his carryon backpack. In fact, he's so bad they have about 4 of the things in different bags or pockets!!

Always keep your rescue inhaler easily accessable! I am a severe asthmatic and you never know what will trigger an attack. I have never had a problem on the plane but with the stagnant air and close quarters you never know (mold and dust mites are my trigger) I always travel with one of mine in my carry-on and my spare in my checked luggage. Actually I keep all my medications that are not spares with me. I have 3 different types of inhalers, oral medication and emergency Predisone! Yikes, just the thought of being 30,000 feet in the air without access to my inhaler makes my chest tight!

Does the pressure from being that high up doing anything to them? I have never flown with a puffer before.

No, the pressure does not effect my inhalers.

I've always carried mine on and never had any problems with them.

Your prescription medications and insulin should NEVER EVER EVER be checked!!!

Carry them on and keep them with you!!!

I always carry my inhalers and have never had a problem with them being affected by pressure. And don't worry, the security people won't give them a second glance, they see them all the time.
