We're flying on a Tuesday and a Wednesday in Sept. from Flint. The non-stop flights just went down from $99 to $79 each way. They are the only flights that went down. I'm thinking I might wait because it is on a Tuesday and Wednesday vs. Friday or Sunday. Would the rates typically get lower for mid-week? Or should I jump on it? Can I call the airline and find out how booked they are for my dates or do they not tell you that?

The airfares JUST went down in the last couple of days, I just got the lowest fare ever from Denver. I would say buy it, gas prices are on the rise and FAST, better safe than sorry is what I say. Good luck whatever you decide;)

I bought tickets at the $79 each way for our trip for may back in march. The price went down in early april to $59. I called Airtran and received a credit for the difference and was charged a $5 fee per ticket for the change. To me it is worth buying at $79 and just checking back each day to see if the price goes down.

Good luck on your decision!

I also fly out of FNT. I believe I've seen lower fares in Sept., but it was pretty last-minute. I agree with Owee24. Book at $79 and call for a credit if the fare goes down.

We were so excited about AirTrans prices being under one hundrend dollars we booked right away!

I got sick and tired of waiting for SW. I went ahead and booked Airtrain out of Kansas City. I don't think I could get much cheaper than 69.00 each way. I like the feeling of not having to worry about ding flights or checking everday for any specials.

69.00! You didnt get hurt there! Thats a great deal.

We booked Airtran for under 100! Im happy!

I always thought you had to pay 200+

mlclements, I agree. We waited and waited for SW to extend their fares through Sept. and when they did the fares were $158 one way out of Providence. We then booked JETBLUE out of Boston for $158 ROUNDTRIP!!! Like you, we now don't have to worry about constantly checking for DINGS and specials.
