I just want to add that many regulars are noting that there really is no "slow" time anymore at the DLR. When the DLR planners are expecting low numbers they, 1) offer promos & advertise to get people booking, 2) shorten the hours so those "lower" numbers are filling the parks mostly all day, and 3) closing extra loading lines to cut CM operation numbers, which in turn cause the wait times to increase a bit. Can I please add some experience advice: enjoy your time no matter what and go in expecting the worst. Last Dec I had read all about how there are low crowds in early Dec...I researched and planned all around the what ifs of the Candelight Pro and CMParties. I had spent so many hours planning and guessing and I was so sure I had picked the best times. Then we arrived (along with my not-in-love-with-Disney DH) and we found crowds. We had long waits, crowded walkways, an atrocious WOC...what did I do?? Complained, whined, grumbled...how was my vacation...dreadful. Finally towards the end I zapped put of my "but I thought/was expecting" mode and just used the tools learned here (FP running, arriving early, planning what we wanted to do each day) and our trip turned around. We could have had that kind of trip the whole time if I would have set the mood for our family. If I would have had plans in place to deal with crowds and lines, my DH and DM would have not even known the difference and would have tagged along. So, what I am saying is, set the tone for your group. Don't ruin your vacation and theirs by fretting over the what ifs and if onlys. Just plan and have fun! Enjoy the great little park of magic and stop to smell the roses.
