I would recommend going on Allearsnet.com and comparing their lunch and dinner menu. This way, you will know whether or not it is going to be worth it go to during the day or you would prefer to go at night.
I am not sure if the lunch menu is much different than the dinner menu - I would imagine there are differences. You can check out www.allearsnet.com for the menus to check the variances.
We returned a few weeks back, and did Le Cellier for lunch - and it was amazing. So, I would say - go for lunch if you can not for dinner! It feels like it's dinner time in there anyways ... and honestly, the food is wonderful.
I agree...check out their lunch menu to see if you like what they have as a selection. I know the portions for the items they have at lunch that they also have for dinner...are smaller for lunch. But still delicious!!! We like to go to Le Cellier once for lunch and once for dinner on each of our trips. If you can't get dinner, then lunch should be fine.
Thanks everyone! We have a 1:30 lunch ADR in Feb. there was nothing available for dinner..I feel much better after seeing the menu and reading your positive reviews.
I am glad to hear you are keeping the lunch ADR We tried Le Cellier for lunch for the first time in Sept. We were not disappointed- It was awesome! I have heard the lunch portions are smaller, but we were all stuffed when we left. Enjoy
You'll be happy with lunch, we had the same thing happen before, we could not get dinner so we did the lunch and we were really happy with the food; plus lunch is cheaper which was nice.
We only do lunches for our sit down meals, we always get a reservation. And then a counter service for dinner. Anway, Le Cellier is our fave for lunches!! Their burgers are outstanding, and too big (IMO) for one person, after those yummy breadsticks and cheese soup that well, you HAVE to get. So my DH and I always split the burger and fries and to tell you the truth, we could easily make a meal from the soup and breadsticks alone. In fact, we have gotten that to go for lunch, and sit out on the stone wall and have it.
We had lunch there on our last trip and it was delicious! We are going to try for dinner there the next time but if we can't get an ADR then we'll do lunch again - I don't think you can go wrong.
we always intentionally get lunch at le cellier - food is the same, it's not as frantic as dinner (easier to get an ADR) and a great break in the afternoon!
I really liked LC for lunch! It was great - less expensive, less crowded, great food.
I tried the prime rib sandwich - it was sooooo good. Very lean, tender meat (and I'm pretty picky!). I had heard one of the other guests talking about it in the lobby while we were waiting to be seated - he said that he was a local with an annual pass who came to LC once a month just for that sandwich.
We loved having lunch at Le Cellier! The menu was diverse and the food was awesome! I have pictures in my trip report from May of this year if you'd like to click on the bottom link in my signature.
