Should I be concerned?

Hello all....joined the vacation club on the Disney Magic on May 16th....went on the 17th to check out the BCV....beautiful does not do the resort justice.....anyway....got the FedEX package the next week....filled out all paperwork correctly and sent it back with the big check...so it is now June 24th and I have not heard anything from them.....not even the pro-rated maintenance bill.....they did tell us that we would hear after the deed was filed...but I just figured since they do so many of these that it would be rather quick.....good thing is we booked two reservations for this year after only giving a $500.00 deposit.....and a little background history....looked at the vacation club so many times...just could not get the guts up the buy into it....finally took the plunge....and I have not even stayed one night yet and we feel great about it.....also.....how is the pool at the resort? I have heard something on these boards about the pool and the fact that other vacation club members cannot us it....does anyone know any details about it? Sorry about all the questions but I am a vacation club newbie.....thanks all for the info....and we cannot wait to hear "WELCOME HOME"!!!

Welcome home!

If you are concerned, give your guide a call and they can find out the status of things. It's only been a week though, and it does take some time, so I wouldn't be too concerned.

As far as Storm-Along Bay goes, the only restriction is that they don't allow DVC members to pool-hop there. If you are staying at BCV you have full access to both pools. SAB is a wonderful pool, and you should have lots of fun.

I think I have about the same timeline as you. I made my 1st phone call on 5/14. I received and sent back my package on 5/22. On page 1 of my aggreement shows an estimated closing date of 6/23. I just received copies of the Receipt for member benefits guidebook, etc. in the mail today. I tried to make reservations on the points yesterday - but are not in my account yet.

If you have made your downpayment you should be able to contact your guide and set-up ressies. Once I had my number that was all it took.

I bought an add-on in May, sent the papers back on the 19th, Deed was recorded June 11, and I received letter and dues statement on June 24.

The fact that they do so many of them is probably what slows it down. There is much more to this process than just the paperwork.

Call your guide if you are concerned, but, given the fact that they let you make reservations, would lead me to believe you have nothing to worry about.

And, btw.............WELCOME HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
