We are big planners - rope drop and then FP in the afternoons from what we pulled earlier. Just booked thru David's for BCV for June 2014. Reading conflicting info about 60+10 for FP+ as well as when you can add your park tix to your ressie. David's has been gracious enough to allow us to cancel our ressie but i'd like to get the experts' answers on these questions:

1.) David's told me you cannot link your park tix to your ressie until you check in in person. Is that true?
2.) if true, won't that disallow me to reserve FP+ at 60+10?
3.) if not true, when can you link? if the answer is right at 60, does that mess up 60+10 too?

the bottom line is i want to be able to know that DVC renters will have the same privileges with FP+ that disney direct resort guests will have.

TIA

AS far as I know renters have the same options as owners when it comes to the benefits we get with regards to the reservations, I know we get 180+10 on dining, so I would imagine FP 60+10 would apply as well. You just may need to work through the owner directly for those types of things.

I think David's is full of misinformation on this. I'm renting in october, and I can go in and link my tickets now to my reservation. Second, no one even knows if 60 +10 is going to be a thing with FP+...that's pure speculation at this point.

You will want to link your room reservation and tickets to your MDE profile. When you are eligible, MDE will give you the option to order MagicBands and make your FastPass+ selections. You need to have valid theme park admission linked to MDE to reserve FP+ times.

From the FastPass+ section of the Park Experience Terms and Conditions:
A confirmed FastPass+ selection is not valid for admission to any theme or water park and valid park admission is required to make and use FastPass+ selections. To make a FastPass+ selection for yourself or your Friends, you must either retrieve a Resort package reservation including valid park admission through your account or associate valid park admission to your account.

The FastPass+ booking window will be 60 days once the system is available to all guests. From the Park Experience Terms & Conditions:
Magic Your Way ticket holders and annual passholders may make FastPass+ selections beginning 60 days prior to day of use. The selection window may vary for other admission tickets.

That's just it - i have a ressie in the system now but am being told that at the 60-day out mark i will then be able to "complete my online check in." So can I link my park tix now (assuming i had them) or do i have to wait til 60 days out, and thus potentially miss the +10 part of 60+10 should FP+ work that way...

You can link theme park admission at any time. You link tickets to individuals within MDE.

So my original concern, unfortunately, remains a mystery until disney rolls out FP+. I still can't tell if I will be able to reserve FP rides at 60 days or 60+ days going with a DVC rental.:confused3

thx for the help.

You will have the same abilitities / features with a DVC reservation as you will with any other on-site WDW reservation.

DVC members have the same ability to make ADRs as do other on-site guests and share the same other on-site benefits. There is no reason to believe that FP+ system will be any different.

Right now the only big question I have heard about involving booking fastpass plus is having a AP voucher versus the activated AP.

There is some confusion as to what is going to happen to those that have bought an annual pass but not activated it, as to whether you can use that voucher to book at 60 days or not.

DVC reservations get the same "perks" as regular resort reservations: DME, EMH, 180+10 ADRs and whatever onsite perk they *might* add to FP+. They haven't yet said their will be an onsite benefit for FP+, so until they do, we can only assume DVC's inclusion because we've been included in everything else. And you don't have to wait until 60 days out to link your tickets, you can do that anytime.

Sammie, I asked that question on the tickets and touring board. Someone there pulled language off the Disney website that stated explicitly that dvc ap/pap vouchers cannot use FP+ until activated into actual passes. :(

What about UT tickets? Is there a way to link them to MDE?

I just received my tickets that I ordered from UT and as soon as I got them I was able to log on and link my tickets to my reservation with no pronlem. I also bought points from a company like Davids.

But are you within 60 days of your ressie?

I am not, I have 183 days until my trip. But the company I rented from told me I should have all the same privileges as other guests. I am able to make my ADR in 3 days so I don't see why it would be any different for FP+

It doesn't matter when you link tickets. You don't actually link them to a reservation. They are linked to an individual in MDE. You can link tickets without even having a room reservation in MDE. Once FP+ is available to all guests, you won't even need a room reservation to use it, just valid theme park admission.

So then I should have no problem with FP+ at the 60 day mark....correct?

It will really depend on how the roll out of FP+ has progressed by the time of your stay. They are currently limiting FP+ in a test phase to guests a select resorts. No one really knows how they are going to handle the roll out. It's possible they will they continue to include additional resorts one by one until all resorts are available.

Thanks @ Honey. I was able to link all the tickets to our reservation. I don't know why I didn't think to do that... :figment:
