Should I be as angry as I am? (work related)UPDATE...

Not that I should really have to explain this, but we have a mandatory unpaid hour we have to take off each day, but since I don't need an entire hour to eat a sandwich at my desk, I break it up into smaller breaks...

And if you'd like to work from 7am to 7pm and most weekends, I'd be thrilled to get you a job-- since there's now 1 open....

I'm not going to say anything else,,as I've stated before I was just showing concern and advising caution, I understand your anger, but please don't take it out on someone who is offering friendly advice..

Sorry, Mickey88--- you're right... It's just been such a long day! I apologize for misdirecting my anger!! Thanks for your opinion... I appreciate it! And now, I'm gonna go home early and have a glass of wine...::yes::

the job is tempting, pay/ benefits...???

just kidding......your boss probably has someone in mind for the position..

have a safe drive home and a good evening..

missy, I know it's been a long, day and you need to vent, but I wouldn't be venting on a public board. not a good idea, even if the info you're posting is not "confidential".

a few years ago I was at a law firm where we had an client audit our files. one of the attorneys was putting entries into his time sheets for work that was not done. when the client compared the bills to the actual working files, and there was no work product supporting the time entries, the attorney was fired. so it does happen.

if this was a politically motivated firing, the boss should not have "made up a story" that could expose him to a libel claim. that's despicable.

and if that's who you're working for, be careful.

I just wanted to say I am sorry for your trying day. I hope your next detective will be competent. I will also pray that your friend finds a job he likes quickly.

Politics are difficult....
I, too, am a prosecutor. - have been for almost 15 years - all in child abuse prosecution. All DA's offices are political. Our attorney staff are at will employees, but the other employees are not, which is good for them.
Good luck on behalf of your investigator, but, as others have warned, be careful what you say in a public forum. And good luck finding a new investigator! I know how hard that is.
PM me if you like - we have a lot in common!
