Should have done Disney before Universal

Well, yeah I'm displeased with Disney. We've spent 30 minutes 2 days in a row dealing with MB problems instead of enjoying the parks. We've had such horrible bus service, we missed 1 ADR and had to take a taxi in order to make another. Coming from a place where we spent 7 days without a single issue, can you blame me?

How early are you leaving for your ADR? You're supposed to leave at least one hour to travel on Disney property.

Well of course, there's no bus transportation at Universal. It's small enough that it's not needed.

30 minutes out of park time doesn't seem like all that much, but to some I do realize it is too much.

I would expect an issue to be dealt with first, but the guest also needs to know what resolution they want. How do you know you are happy if you don't know when to be happy?

If I went and said I cannot stand up for long so cannot wait in line, then a wheelchair is a perfect solution. If said I have issues standing in line and being in close proximity to stranger with no escape then I would expect a pass so I can wait out of the line and then rejoin the ride with a short wait

I know this has been said over and over again but people seem to expect a disability will enable them to ride with zero wait. Disney have actually put a lot of efforts in making the parks equal for everyone and that means wheelchair accessable queuelines.

If this is your issue then how are you going to cope once you are on the actual ride? Or is Disney also expected to accommodate you with a private ride vehicle?

30 minutes each of our first 2 park days for an issue not our fault is too much.

"30 minutes out of park time doesn't seem like all that much, but to some I do realize it is too much"

I spend thousands of dollars, travel 1000+ miles to Disney to enjoy the parks and time with my family, not to spend time with CM's in GS and deal with problems of a faulty system they pushed thru. I think the time wasted on fixing MB issues should be pro-rated and a refund given...like that would ever happen.

Depends when that 30 minute period is. Missing 30 minutes at 1pm may not be a big deal but missing the first 30 minutes after rope drop would tick me off if it was crowded.

:thumbsup2 Yep. This.

When you speak to someone at Disney about these issue what are their responses? Did you get anything to compensate for your time? Did you call about your ADR? Yes you say you are not a noobie but we have always called if there is issues getting there and they hold the table.

Have you mentioned anything to BC stag about the bus service, missed ADR and taxi you felt forced to take due to poor bus service?

I'm just trying to see if Disney had offered anything to make up for these issues you've been experiencing.

Op, you had a negative outlook about WDW and a positive one about Universal before you went. It doesn't surprise me that your fears turned into reality.

You talk as if it was my 1st trip. I had the attitude I had based on our recent trips, changes made at Disney, and reading the message boards. I have no beef in the theme park wars. I own stock in neither.

This is frustrating. To have problems with magic bands the first day is annoying, but to have the same problems the next day is worse. I hope tomorrow is an easier for you, OP.

And you've never waited behind someone talking to a cm or took time with a cm that was longer than your transaction?

A.What does that have to do with the bus service?

B.Of course I have. But this was just ridiculous. It was 4 adults in their 60's trying to decide which Ariel pin had the "correct" eyes for her collection. I'm standing there with 2 little kids with 3 bottles of water. Nobody was under any obligation to let me ring out, but seriously, it would have taken 30 seconds. I found it rude on the "customers" part, and dumb on the CM's part.

I'm sure it will be. We had a very helpful CM assist us. And today was great. Started out annoying, but we just moved on and had a fun day.

Lol so everyone should work around your schedule. 10 minutes waiting, you could have walked to your room and had a drink. Or if they were that thirsty walked out and around the corner where there is a drinking fountain. You want everyone on your schedule. Of course you found it dumb. Because they didn't jump to help you. Maybe the old people had spent a crapload on stuff and were as entitled to the attention you felt that you were. You obviously walked in after they did.

You have never held people up? Spent too much time talking about yourself or your interests?

Not sure about the bus service. Never commented on that.

Have to agree! I'm in my 60's, and I have traded pins in the past. But, if there were people behind me, waiting to pay for something, I would move aside and let them do their business! Just common courtesy.

Lots of assuming going on. I agree with previous posts that those examining the pins are still shopping. I think that the CM should have told the ladies to keep looking and helped the OP.

Good Customer service is to not have people waiting 10 minutes in line to buy a product. Disney is not Walmart.
