I answered unsure.
On the one hand, it'll send out a powerful message and will inevitably discourage a quantity of people.
On the other hand, all you need to thwart the wall is a ladder, a shovel or a little boat to go around it with. That's my only major concern - that it could be a waste of money compared to other measures.
However, I struggle to think of any other measures that would be more effective, so I'm erring on the side of "yes, build it".
It's the USA's right to do so on it's own land, of course, no matter what the the Mexican dude says.
My only other concern is for the illegals who have a rock solid reason for trying to seek asylum without the means to do so legally. However, Mexico isn't exactly the most oppressed or impoverished nations in the world...
